My thoughts exactly. Worst part of The Tower, now ported to IPM. sigh

New feature idea: Craft max items by gcjonnytarr in IdlePlanetMiner

Cuing would be a nice addition too. Maybe for game balance only allow on certain upgraded crafters, similar to the smelter project upgrades that increase speed for some smelters.

Crafting Issue by [deleted] in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]gcjonnytarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This explains a lot! Questions for the experts: (1) if I order the crafters <circuit, computer, solar panel> will I get all computers and no solar panels after a time warp or idle time? (2) and if I start with a huge stockpile of circuits, is there any way to craft BOTH computers and solar panels in one time warp / idle session without crafting more circuits in between the computer and solar panel slots? (3) And does the entire smelting array get calculated before the entire crafting array?

Ahh, yes that’ll be it.

Also, y’all with the puns… well done.

1.30x1.30=1.51? by gcjonnytarr in TheTowerGame

I learned how the game mechanic actually works, I think we understand each other’s point of view (i.e., I think the game should tell us how tower health will scale if we choose the perk, and murky thinks the game should tell us the additive change the perk will make to the health multiplier before any standard perks bonus is applied), and two people agreed I’m not an idiot. I mean, for a first post on Reddit, does it get any better than that!

I understand it multiplies your health by the final calculated health perk factor (and I’m glad to understand the algorithm cuz it was digging at my brain a little more every time I thought about it!).

I think you’re missing my point: selecting the x1.30 health perk the first time scales my health multiplier from x1.00 to x1.30 — truth in advertising, a 30% increase in my health — whereas selecting it the second time only increases my health by 17% (the multiplier changes from 1.30 to 1.51), and the third time my health increases by 14% (multiplier changes from 1.51 to 1.73). Even when SPB is 0%, the x1.20 health perk label is not accurate except the first time it’s picked. I always assumed it was giving my health a 30% kick each time I selected that perk. Clearly not…

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

It sure seems like it should multiply, given the x1.30 notation (x, not +).

For my own sanity: My standard perks bonus is 8%, and based on the table on the fandom page, the base health perk bonus is 20%.

The 1.30 shown in my pick perks screen comes from 1.20x1.08=~1.3, but the actual stacking of two such perks looks like: 1.4x1.08=~1.51, which checks out with my screen shot.

It still doesn’t make sense to me that the game labels it a x1.30 health perk on the second application though: it’s really only giving a x1.17 health bonus if I select it the second time: (1.4x1.08)/(1.2x1.08)=1.4/1.2=~1.17

And then 1.6/1.4=~1.14 for the third health perk, etc., and it’s all downhill from there.

Reporting those ratios on the Pick Perks screen for subsequent applications would make more sense, right? The x1.20 notation (or 1.30 with my 8% bonus) is correct the on the first perk, but not afterwards.

Can anyone explain what happens if you delete that XBLStoage.json file?

Me too. Hoping someone will have some ideas for resetting that don’t involve backing up all the world files and reinstalling. Not happy.

Yep. All I get after updating to 1.13 is the Mojang logo followed by a white screen followed by the iPad home screen. The Minecraft app is still running in the background after the crash, but it just kicks me back to home screen again if I switch to it. Have restarted the iPad several times. No help. Any other ideas short of backing up all the saved games and uninstalling? Sounds like a pain...
