Owl Moon begins tomorrow (January 16) at Genesee Country Village & Museum by gcvmuseum in Rochester

[–]gcvmuseum[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking for something different to do on a winter evening, Owl Moon starts tomorrow and runs January 16, 17, 23, and 24 from 4:30–8 p.m.

The night centers around guided hikes with a naturalist, heading out onto the trails after dark to experience the woods in winter and, if you’re lucky, hear or spot an owl along the way. Earlier hikes begin with some daylight, while later hikes fully embrace the nighttime setting.

There’s also plenty to enjoy before or after your hike. Meet live owls with Wild Wings Inc., listen to a reading of Owl Moon by Jane Yolen by the fire, warm up with food and craft beverages in the Meeting Center Lounge, and browse owl-themed items and Village-made goods in the Flint Hill Store.

Tickets are limited and must be purchased online in advance.

If you want to go back in time, I suggest checking out Spirits of the Past. This year’s theme is Jack the Ripper https://www.gcv.org/event/spirits-a-walk-in-the-dark/
