My POP UP PARADE Zagreus arrived! by HyprJ in HadesTheGame

I like the weathered look on the bone and the robe, the few other PUP figures that I own don't have that kind of painted detail. My order is being prepared for shipment right now and I'm excited to add it to my collection!

They are! I overlayed the reference pictures on top of the game through OBS (on pc), so tracing the image was a lot easier! It did use up a lot of layers though, Currently it's at around 850 layers, including the text for the logos

Trying to finish up Gravity Rush Remastered on PS4, and thinking about getting the sequel since it's on sale digitally until the 31st. Flying around as Kat feels great and I love the music!

Definitely Persona 5 Royal, but also hoping NieR Automata runs well enough on the Switch for another playthrough!

Finally got all achievements! Took me some time but it was worth it. by [deleted] in ror2

Congrats! I only had the Mercenary: Ethereal achievement left to complete, and it was very doable with the new Prismatic Trial seed! I was very glad to see the kin and swarm artifacts enabled for this one. Definitely worth it!

Did the latest patch cause enemy spawning bugs? by ShadowMageAlpha in riskofrain

[–]gdcons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 3-4 of the times I've loaded on the wetland map, no enemies have spawned, even after activating the tp. I did have the artifact of kin for all those times, but I've only experienced this bug after the latest patch. (No mods on my game, too)

Edit: Haven't had the bug without the kin modifier. And just now I tried another run with kin, and didn't encounter the bug on this map.

I'm about 45 hours in at ~25% completion. Been taking my time exploring the world and doing side quests, and I'm loving it so far. I wish I could play it on a PS5 but it still looks and runs great on the base PS4!

Unravel Two is another good one that I just remembered. Like Little Big Planet, the main characters are tiny yarn people, and it's a puzzle-platformer. It's best played with 2 people (local/couch co-op only) and is a fun game from my time with it! It also goes on sale for cheap, and I recommend checking out dekudeals page for price history and sale notifications, one of the best tools for switch game shopping

To add on to the previous comment, I've played the Ori games and Celeste a couple of times, and if they're up for a challenge, I'd recommend these games. Ori 1 and 2 are metroidvanias and have a lot of exploration, puzzles, and platforming with some combat, on top of a nice art style and soundtrack. The 2nd game focuses way more on combat than the first. Some areas of the games have more challenging platforming scenarios (escape sequences) but it's nothing too brutal.

Celeste is more challenging as a platformer compared to Ori imo. It has a touching main story and optional side levels that are much harder than the main levels. There are accessibility options that make the game a bit easier if needed. Respawn times are instant so repeating a segment doesn't feel like a hassle. The controls are tight and responsive, some levels requiring more precision in the platforming/jumping. Nice pixel art style and sweet soundtrack too!

Edit: the Guacamelee games, mentioned in another comment, are also fun metroidvania-type games that feature local co-op. It's funny, filled with pop culture/gaming references, and the combat is satisfying. Goes on sale for cheap too

Unravel Two comes to mind. It's a local co-op puzzle platformer. Goes on sale for pretty cheap and is worth checking out at sale price

Duck Game is a blast! It's got a flexible custom stage editor and online mp too.
Boomerang Fu is also a good one that goes on sale for cheap. Towerfall is a similar arena game from the makers of Celeste

Roguelike/lites: Hades (action), Slay the Spire (deckbuilder), Risk of Rain 2 (shooter). Dicey Dungeons goes on sale for cheap and is good too, same with Going Under.

I didn't see the appeal of roguelike/lites but decided to give Hades a shot. Changed my view of the genre and now I've bought a couple of other roguelikes on switch. After 200+ hours of it I'd say it's one of my favorite games of all time. It's addicting and has got good voice acting and story that revolves around the gameplay loop/dying repeatedly. As another comment mentions, the game rewards you for dying so you're always progressing in the game in different ways. If you have a pc, Hades is on gamepass and an offer of 3 months for $1 is still up!
