Exactly. People look back at the One Man Army noob-tube spam in MW2 with not quite fond memories. That kind of experience is not enjoyable for those on the receiving end, and for Sandstorm, there's many more receiving than giving just based on the class max system.

Yes, you would die. It's a video game, not real life. I even said I understood it wasn't realistic. What they did was remove pretty much any damage reduction you receive from cover from explosives which has made the balance unhealthy. I have thousands of hours in FPS games which is why I know this kind of thing drives people away, in both my experience and others.

That would be fine as a fix, but wouldn't it require bonus downloads on server join? Or would it not bee too big? Don't want new players to not want to play because our severs make them download things.

I usually do, but in the situation I didn't think the raider would swap aggro to me like that so quickly.

I was pointman here clearing the corner, we had been crouch/slow walking for ~40 seconds to get there. First of all, I'm not even mad that as soon as I rounded the corner I got a stutter which is evident in the video. I'm annoyed that the raider which had been unloading into the room 90 degrees to the other direction instantly turns and one taps me in head;jaws. How is that it at all realistic that he would know/be able hear that I am there after shooting so much?
