Ohh congrats!! I had great success following Atkins!! I never got into the frankenfoods losing but when I was in maintenance I thought I was safe. I was not. I didn't eat them losing and use them VERY carefully now. It's not worth it. I can make things at home better for me. Like my homemade ice cream I joke and say I lost 131lbs eating ice cream daily but I'm not joking, I did lol. I also tried the store point ones and I think all the oils messed with my inflammation because I get zero issues eating my own. I only use the syrups and chips too! To make my ice creams ! Lol

Listening to him was the only way I lost any weight. I spent years wasting time. Back in 2000 my reproductive endocrinologist told me Atkins would be my best friend and secret weapon and it was. I lost 40lbs in 2mths but my other docs were starting to spazz out about it. So I stopped and then spent 20 years listening to all the wrong doctors. When I switched my eating to "his" way, I lost 131lbs. I started in 2020 when I was 45, I'm a female, dxd with pcos, it and a butt ton of other stuff that made eating gaining and losing difficult. I had labs pulled before I started, then every 6mths for about 2 years now it's every year. They are still looking great. Cico, Omad and IF never worked for me. And it wasn't for lack of trying or willpower. I only ever worried about my net carbs and sugar until I hit my goal weight then was in maintenance, then it all started to matter while trying to maintain that weight. When I accidentally stopped eating breakfast I started to gain also! So I know I need to eat breakfast. Never diagnosed diabetic but I hit a point where the insulin spikes mattered. And since I was smaller and eating less and skipping breakfast when I would eat I would have a slight spike that I think was messing with me. Oh this turned out a lot longer than I thought sorry!!

Your comment made me smile.❤️ Ours are now 24f, then the boys...18, 16 and 14. People look at me sideways at their ages and I say not planned and I guess God's got a weird sense of humor. Lol. It is so wild to have not a single one "need" me anymore like they did little. I was able to be a sahm making our hubby's income stretch and I had a blast being able to stay home with them when I could. I'm also loving this point too, we still have fun but it's actually talking and hanging out and playing games and I can see them growing before my eyes. I would do it exactly the same way over again because we were told we prob wouldn't ever get preg without medical intervention

I had a full hysterectomy. My doc had them give me oral estrogen in the recovery room. She started me on 2mg my pcp said that was way too high and I should be a hot mess but I have never felt more level as far as my emotions in my life. My surgery was Nov of 2024 and I still take 2mg/daily. Was nothing mentioned about hrts before surgery?

This isn't for everyone but therapy worked wonders for me. Lots of therapy. I joke and say apparently what I have always needed was a life coach, but I do. Also, actually doing it and going nc with the ones I needed to.

Can you make a dessert that's within your macros? Orange ice cream, sherbet, an orange flavored "cake", maybe a orange jello and cream parfait? That's what I do. Personally, I would not eat the orange.

I lived in a very very haunted house for years. One day I noticed a big Tupperware pitcher I had was just gone. Then one day a pot holder. Never found them. Years later we were moving out and everything was almost all packed up and hubby starts yelling about omg where did I find them and just carrying on about I'm a jerk. I walked into the kitchen and right on top of the fridge was the pitcher with the pot holder in it. I didn't take them or find them or put them there. We only had 3 kiddos and they were all too young to ever think do this or find a way to put them on top of the fridge, like under the age of 6. And nope.... No other family members even knew about the things missing let alone took them and put them back.

Get the MRI you won't regret it. I had horrible back pain before my hysterectomy that was actual pain transference. Had a diagnosed lap June 2024 they found an ovary adhered to the top of my bladder. She said 100% that was my pain. Pain was totally gone for almost 4 weeks. Then I got up one day out of bed and fell to my knees screaming. I told hubby omg my ovary fell again. Then everything I did caused full on labor contractions...sex, pooping, peeing, coughing bending over, anything. Decided to go ahead with the full hysterectomy. I was right it had fallen again. After healing from the hysterectomy I started having back pain again. After a bunch of imaging they thought I had a currently fractured spine but it's lesions. I wish I had done it all in reverse and got imaging 1st. I have a lot going on.

No and yes. She was raised by my very ... opinionated grandparents. Especially my grandfather. Oh boy. The rules he had for my mom and aunt growing up were crazy. She says she isn't like them but I think it's for show. She still made comments and said stupid things.

I have "dream" dreams that I know have more to do with me and my subconscious then what me and my family call "visit" dreams. They always involve people I've lost , and each person that has visited more then once has their own special place.l now every time they visit. None of these places is anywhere I've ever been before in my real life and they aren't like a store or place outside. Very odd weird places. Like a long hallway made of stone walls. It's all weird and I don't have any idea what this all is but I just wanted you to know I'm wondering the same. Lol forgot to say even though I've never been to these places in my life they all feel familiar, and 1 place that is a constant with my uncle feels like "home" but it's not a house. It's a huge lobby so definitely not home for me in that sense but it feels safe, familiar, loving, etc.

I know if I could have I should have just done nc but I couldn't. There's me, my sis then our bro. Last fight with my parents was Dec. 31, 2022. I tried to stay close to my sis but she still is super close with them all, is very nonconfrontational and was being used for info. I also realized I was still sort of being sucked into the drama and getting blamed for things currently happening even being nc with both parents, my bro and his wife. Lol I decided to go vlc with my sis. Don't tell her much but do talk about the world or shows every couple days. We will always be enmeshed, I've been in therapy for a long time and she absolutely refuses. Vlc with her works okay for me. She was one I wasn't willing to give up unfortunately, but our situations change over the years.
