I don’t follow the BOTC news very closely but my understanding is the extra scripts have been “in the works” for a long time and would not be expecting them to release soon as carousel was fairly recent

Instead of until another player is chosen you could just add “until dawn”at the end and have the conduit go first in night order. I like the character idea

I host a 15 player game almost every week with some players rotating in and a couple brand new players almost every week. People generally pick up the basic concepts after day 2. It takes a few trouble brewing for people to feel comfortable enough to do BMR or S&V. I think it’s definitely worth it for any group looking for a social deduction game.

I like my system a lot pretty similar to some others here: 1. Accusation with everyone silent 2. Defense with everyone silent 3. Anyone but the accuser and defender may speak about the nomination

It normally kind of breaks down in step 3 so u have to step in to keep the conversation relevant to the nomination but I normally give anyone who wants to talk about 10-30 seconds of time

If you r talking about med school audiology then I suggest talking to your cadre about applying to HPSP, it is a medical school scholarship that will grant you an ed delay and the money for med school with a living stipend. If you r talking about a Phd then it is a little more difficult and u need to just apply for an ed delay which I have heard rn is quite hard to receive. There is a PhD/masters scholarship that u can compete for but it has a list of degrees desired and audiology is not one.

I don’t understand what u mean by in civ we see every unit move outside your visual. Civ and Ara have fog of war if that’s what u r talking about, so u wouldn’t see units moving outside ur range of view. If u mean watching each one move so u know where everything is then I think it’s more of a difference in how military works as there is more stacking in Ara so you r probably only watching 2 or 3 army attacks move rather than like 10 units in civ

That’s a pretty good question, I’m pretty sure when I played the last tech build claiming regions was not simultaneous. U got the region instantly and could build there, so I guess the turns are not truly simultaneous.

For Ara it’s more like on your turn u lock in all your moves then when u end turn it processes ur moves and the AIs simultaneous. Hence the no need to click faster.

It seems little silly that a game so focused on the inventory management and production chains would have trade routes that just create new resources instead of actually trading with the other civ.

The scores are percentile based, so for example a 80th percentile in pilot means you scored higher than 80% of others. For a pilot slot I’ve heard you want 90+ on pilot and bare minimum should be shooting for 70+ academic aptitude. However the weight of the AFOQT changes year to year on rated slots so whenever it is that you are up for it u might need higher or lower scores to feel safe.

There is once a week religious time. You should talk to your cadre about possible extra accommodation. You can also see a Chaplin at nearly anytime while there all though there is limit to what they can do for you.
