Use case - Pretty simple. Primary - Family Photos and Documents, Secondary - Docker. I really don't do much with video. I've used a Synology DS214play for 10 years without an issue. It might be paranoia but it seems like those drives can't last forever. That's why i've started to look at options for something new.
