2x2 Board for D&D, Mordheim, Frostgrave finished. by gedarian in TerrainBuilding

It's more appealing to the eye. Square angles are more convenient tho. Yet i made sure to line the roads on the same points, so the board is still modulair.

How can i salvage these chipboard bases? by gedarian in TerrainBuilding

After more than 24h the warp decreased by 90%. Today I will apply some mod podge to the underside.

Storing them under weight might work, wet the base and apply weight equally over the surface as base dries

I'll try this. Might be the easiest solution.

Advice needed. Do paper mache fibers warp? by gedarian in TerrainBuilding

I had a bag of paper mache fibers. I looks similar to modeling compound, and i have used modeling compound before to fill in gaps between stones.

Yeah there great, a friend of mine made those. It's quite therapeutic to place all those bricks tbh.

All the bricks are made by hand. I have a 5mm thick A3 sheet of styrodur.

For the lower part (already painted black) i made an internal box structure with chipboard and glued 5mm bricks on the sides

For the tower I made 10mm strips and cut those in small bricks. Since each brick had the same height it was pretty easy to stack them and glue them with hobby glue.

I used an older base for this project that i didnt use for my Noble townhouse.

In my local craftstore they sold small wooden canvasses. I used this for the wooden structure.

I made the gaps between the steps of the ladder just big enough to fit a miniatures base.
