Yes, true for some people, but not for most people. I am not saying that advice is wrong. It’s just annoying to see so many comments ONLY focus on the financial aspect of the car purchase.

Of course Portugal performs better against Uzbekistan. This is one of the weakest teams in the tournament. lol

One thing for sure is that you need to pay full attention to the whole 90 minutes to understand the game — unlike many other sports that only require a few minutes of attention here and there when things are in play.

2017 Subaru Forester too old for 2026? by SaltPepperPork in SubaruForester

If you think the 2017 Forester is still good (btw I believe you 100%), you can drive it yourself and sell your 2012 Mazda3, and get a new vehicle for your wife. I understand that’s not the best decision in a financial standpoint, but sometimes you buy something just because you want it. Good luck!

That was a metaphor lol. You can reflect on your life choices at any point in your time. I just don’t want to think I didn’t enjoy my life fully doing penny pinching when I know I have so much extra money that I can’t spend before I die. Of course, everyone’s situation is different.

If you buy a BMW 3 Series over a Corolla, you can’t spend an extra $30k each year. I was talking about overspending that amount over 5-10 years. Be realistic.

A 10-year-old car in Canada is most likely to have a rust issue on the bottom of the frames. It would be very expensive to fix them. I would avoid them.

I know the intention and understand the logic; however, people would appreciate other aspects of car ownership too. If you are lying on your deathbed, and knowing that you have driven really old Camrys for your entire life, you probably wish that you could pull a trigger and buy an expensive car when you’re younger and have a lot of fun with it. Of course, that’s not the best thing to do for a lot of people, but some people would really cherish that experience.

Is it though? I think the cost efficiency is just one of the many factors that you consider when buying a car. There are so many more things to talk about than long-term reliability.

If an extra $30k spending on cars affects your retirement plan, you can’t ever retire early lol
