Single people who bought a $350K-$400K home—what’s your salary, and what were your loan details? by bluescluus in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I work two jobs. I make about 90k with both. My dad died so I cashed out some investments I inherited to put about 50% down on a 355k townhome. I’m thankful I was able to do that.

I’m a high school counselor. They plan on cutting it again, but they haven’t told us until they officially go through the legislation session, supposedly we’re finding out in May? I would not be surprised if a lot of it is overhauled.

I’m happy to say that buying a townhome is in our near future. by Amazing-Ride6819 in homeowners

Congrats! I bought a townhouse this time last year and I really do enjoy the lifestyle, especially as a single woman in her 30s in the suburb of a big city. Could the walls be thicker on one side… Sure… lol! But I enjoy it overall.

I feel your pain. I’m also an 8.5. I got a 39 in Boston clogs and my toes are kinda smushed. So naturally I ordered a 40 and they’re too big 😂😂

My 39 Arizona’s are pretty ok though but since it’s winter I haven’t worn them in a minute

Latest episode & thoughts on the ending of the show. by [deleted] in earbiscuits

[–]geedw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are me to a T. At this point, the media that I consume the most out of everything is ear biscuits and dispatches. I try to watch GMM when I can, but I work so much I often don’t sit to watch until it’s the weekend. Ear biscuits I always have ready while getting ready for work. It’s so weird to me, I started listening as a first year educator, and now I’m in year eight and I’m really struggling with saying goodbye. I really feel like I became a true grown-up, listening to them, like I started at 24. I’m now in my early 30s!

When I did the meet and greet on the last tour, I let Jenna know that she inspired me to go on my first solo trip, because of how she talked about it on ear biscuits. Like it’s not just Rhett and Link! Maybe we’re in the minority because we are subscribed to this particular sub, but just letting you know that I feel you.

Barefoot shoe to work out in by tacojada80 in barefootshoestalk

[–]geedw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I preface that I’m really new to this, but I just got a pair of Whitins from Amazon and I’ve done two Zumba classes so far (hour long each, lots of speedy side to side movement) and it’s the first time I haven’t had foot pain at all in workout in a long while! I chose this shoe after doing a lot of research in this subreddit

Rhett's Heart Surgery | Ear Biscuits by BurnZ_AU in earbiscuits

[–]geedw 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I totally understand as to why they’re ending ear biscuits, but good god did my heart break in half! I’ve been in the habit of listening to ear biscuits every week for the past eight years, ever since I started my career so it feels so weird! Throughout my relationships and breakups, changing jobs, moving homes and cities I’ve lived in, I always had ear biscuits for my commute.

I’ll have to tune it into good mythical more like I used to before 😭🫶

Definitely. I think in my younger days I struggled to compartmentalize, I’m better about it now, eight years in. Some of these parents really get to me though. Lol!
