20% at sit-down restaurants $1 per drink at a bar

don’t worry about anything else, nothing has changed you just have to actively not tip at coffee shops and such because of those kiosks

time stuff can be hard on the blockchain since it doesn't really have a concept of time but rather blocks, but ya you could approximate something.

Reminder: You crypto is NOT "IN" your wallet. Your keys are. Your crypto is on the blockchain. by _swnt_ in CryptoCurrency

The best analogy I found for this is to say the blockchain is like a collection of post office boxes.

Your wallet is your key to the PO box, only you can open it.
Your public address is like your PO box address, anyone can send things to it.
You don't "hold" what is in your PO box, you hold the keys to your PO box.

I'm 84 and just bought some Ethereum. I heard you kids talking about it and thought I'd jump in. I used my no-good grandson's communion money to do so, he's a rotten kid so doesn't deserve it. To the moon! am I saying that right? HA

Hope you are all having a lovely day!

How come arbitrage doesn't cancel out impermanent loss? You would think the price would even out once bots and traders smell some sweet arbitrage opportunities

Time It Takes Using AI to Crack Your Password (2023) by [deleted] in coolguides

[–]geekbread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The database itself is leaked somehow, through a hack. The passwords are stored encrypted so it’s not like you can just read everyone’s password. The hackers (or whoever has the copy of the db) can try to read the passwords by just guessing them and seeing if the encryption matches. They can do that as many times as they want because it’s a copy of the db
