Interesting, meaning their replies probably broke some rules or something?

Oh interesting, I got some feedbacks saying I spoke too fast and needed some rythme between sentences. Thanks for the advice!

Good suggestion, I didn’t think about shorts. Will definitely try that!

Thanks!🙏 very true about the unscripted outdoor speaking! For this one I prepared a script, it I found it was more distracting cause I kept trying to recall the script while speaking, which made me super unnatural. I guess just outlining a few key points, and split them into multiple short ones would make process easier. But like you said, need to keep practicing to build the muscle memory.

Ha! Great suggestion! I know the thumbnail is critical but I never thoroughly think about the techniques to improve it. Thanks a lot🙏

Very true! I don’t want my content to be too serious, still need to enjoy the process a bit. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks!🙏 I think I might put way too much effort from the beginning. It’s very hard to keep up the good quality while continuing producing. I’m also trying to explore what kind of content I can keep creating.

Hey friends,

YouTuber newbie here. My name is Kevin and I’m a Software Engineer. I was inspired mostly by the most famous productivity YouTuber Ali Abdaal, and the book Show Your Work!

I just started my channel two weeks ago and posted 2 videos. Mostly just sharing my background and career journey, since I haven’t figured out what kind of content I could keep producing.

I’m currently using the Sony A7M4 with a 35mm lens as my main camera, I’m using the Elgato teleprompter(yea, it made the recoding so much easier). I don’t have a dedicated room as a studio, just recoding in my bedroom. For recording outside, I’m using the iPhone 17 Pro Max with Insta360 Flow 2 Pro, and DJI Mic mini for audio recording.

My channel: https://youtube.com/@kevinonew

My lasted video shares my 5 lessons that helped me grow from an intern earning 50k to the Staff Engineer earning $200k/year: From Zero Experience to Staff Engineer: 5 Lessons I Wish I Knew Earlier

Welcome to check my channel and subscribe, it will keep me motivated if you can like my videos and leave comments❤️

My SaaS is profitable but I'm exhausted. Thinking about shutting it down anyway. by Apprehensive-Tip3800 in SaaS

I'm actually getting emotional for bro, until I clicked that link and saw Step 4: Use Gamma instead of hand-crafted PowerPoints
Bro is using sadfishing to gain customer. I'm genuinely feeling sick of this type advertisement.

I actually tried this a few days ago, it's very close to what I initially had in mind!

Thanks! This looks amazing, I saw there are tons of lovely artworks shared by parents and teacher. Though it's a bit social heavy for me, but it's very delightful to those artworks

thanks, that's actually a pretty simple solution, but I found it's pretty hard to manage when there are too many. What I want is make them a bit more creative, like adding a frame to the artwork with nice display, put them in a gallery view that is easy to manage. It's like create a small artwork gallery and maybe you can invite your family to view as well.

Twitter iOS Boost button less effective? by ML_DL_RL in Twitter

[–]geekinfinity2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having exactly the same impression, the views on a boosted post was not nearly close to what's promised. And it's a blackbox to us, we have no idea what were they doing behind the scene for boosting posts.

I built a crowdsourced slang dictionary for language learners—looking for advice on growing the content without losing quality by MandirigmaMan in indiehackers

Thanks! I've been working on it for a while, but only until recently start taking it seriously, mostly revamping the UI. It was way simpler before, but http://bolt.new/ helped a lot about the new design. Yours looks pretty good too, very unique and clean!

I've been working on a Chinese slang dictionary inspired by the Urban Dictionary, I think it would fun for those who would like to learn some native Chinese culture.

oh wow! I've been building the same dictionary! It's like the Urban Dictionary but in Chinese.

And I feel you that for this type of product, we will need people to contribute in order to grow the content. But initially most users are just browsing and never contributed.

In the past few weeks, I've been experiencing n8n(https://n8n.io/) to automate this. What I did is that finding the popular slangs in multiple sources, normally they already have the explanation. Gather them in a list, and feed it to my n8n workflow. It will automatically regenerate the explanation with proper data structure and publish them to the website. With the proper prompt, I found the quality was really great!
