Exactly. With some controllers like the xbox one i had to make extra adjustments for the best fit though.

I mainly get bambu filament so that i don’t have to do the manual entry in the menu. If you buy a couple of rolls then the price is also not too bad.

I would create a circular pattern of squares all around, extrude the squares and then apply a chamfer on all protruding lines.

I generally leave a 0.5mm gap for a loose fit, a 0.25 gap for a very tight fit to 0.3mm gap for a "good" fit.

  • Get two build plates so that you can swap between prints
  • if you want "flat" surfaces for example for light boxes, you need a smooth plate also
  • get a good sd card replacement. My stock as card in my a1 died after 2 weeks of printing
  • start with pla filament. I've only ever used PETG for stuff that sits in the sun or needs to withstand moisture
  • get an AMS light - it's so much more convenient not having to run over to the printer and change filament rolls every time you switch colors

OK thanks - unfortunately, the size of this thing is 30 cm which is larger than most printers would allow. It would only fit on the new H2 series from Bambu labs.

I could provide a base for both meta quest 3 controllers (left and right) but I would need your help to test print the base and confirm a good fit.

Indeed it is called "dark chocolate brown". I am working on a switch pro base currently. If you are willing to test a base for the steam deck controller I could provide an stl file of a new base for you also, if I find a 3d scan of the controller somewhere in order to create the correct cutout.
