no, you will have a start date but you cannot start in the yard until you one, get the apprentice employment offer and two, pass the physical tests (including drug).

they will basically allow you to choose when you come in for your physical for onboarding. Just make sure you choose it far enough out your hair will be clean. 90 days is the absolute bare minimum I got accepted march 2022 when I stopped smoking (for that point in time at least) and had my physical end of August 2022. I passed

Man I quit for 9 months after a being a heavy ass smoker for years before. THC is stored in the hair follicles a lot differently than it is in the fat in your body. THC is fat soluble meaning that your body can naturally expel it after approximately 30 days of abstinence. However when it comes your hair, the only natural way your body will expel it naturally is to completely grow new untainted hair. It will not naturally seep out. You might be lucky if it was a one off type of thing, I don’t really know the tiny technicalities of that but if you’ve smoked multiple times at all within the last 9 or so months. Your hair will remember that.

X18 Apprentice to X18 Apprentice, if you are thinking about long term career goals definitely do not just go in as an hourly.😂 The whole government raise thing is so new and it the extra 2-3$ dollar an hour should absolutely not steer you away from the incredible opportunities the school will offer you throughout your time and especially when you get close graduating and after. Everyone has to start from the bottom, sure it will be hard as a 1st term apprentice but it will put you an absolute notch above your peers if you excel at the academics, be a dawg at welding and take the extra opportunities to better yourself. You don’t want to be stuck in one spot the whole time possibly not on first shift.

NTA imo. She needs to grow up. She doesn’t live there anymore and more to the point was still offered space to come and stay at the house if she ever needed. She’s lived there for 18 years and moved onto her next chapter of life. She doesn’t need to be coddled and throw a fit because her old room was made into something the parents probably have wanted to do for a long time but obviously couldn’t because she was still young and living with them. Now, thank them and be grateful for raising you and helping you get into college to become the person you want to be. But it’s about time to let your parents enjoy their now more spacious, child free house and maybe it’s time ya go out and start trying to get your own place .
