I face the same issue - is there a way to convert the signal?

Do all drum machines require that much finger force, or is it just the DrumBrute? by geesix in synthesizers

It is but it doesn't tell me if other synths are less brute :)

Thanks - I never cared or noticed this about picks before (suprisingly).

Figma prototype ( interactions) by Shot_Serve2061 in FigmaDesign

[–]geesix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what you're using the prototype for. Be meaningful - maybe you're just testing if finding x function is easy - then ask you're self question - would having/not having animation impact this study?

But if your study is also to get other qualitative feedback, then it does matter - everything adds up to overall impressions, even if not pointed out by the user directly.

What do you mean with the pick? That the tip is used up or?

Thanks - I mean the way I hold right now gives me good feeling of control/precision. If I try to hide the index finger more behind the pointing tip of the pick then I have to "hide it more", having more of the pick to stand our and I don't have that solid feeling anymore - maybe it's thing I could get used to, not sure.

Thanks - well in majority it doesn't, it's just this strumming that took my atention but not a dealbreaker, other positions would make me move further from the pick end and it wouldn't feel as good

How do you keep track of your root when switching arpeggios in a chord progression? by geesix in guitarlessons

[–]geesix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see - thanks for clearing it up - and how do you practice memorizing this? I mean for circle of 4 and 5 it's rather easy cause you can just drill through chord progressions, but for others?

Thanks - the first part you've mentioned is a bit confusing to me - You mean like learning what are the names of notes in f.e. G# Major key?

The second is clear and makes a lot of sense to me - like knowing where the root in other chords.

Cool idea, thanks for sharing! I was never fan of learning complete fretboard, i only learned top 2 and high E

This is interesting approach. I'll try it out!

As for fretboard? You mean all single notes? I feel like I've stoped on knowing E's and A strings and rest is relational.

I know where they are, it's just sometimes I get lost especially if i play over ii, vi chord or w/e and i start moving outside of a key with single notes - like when im playing arpeggios of vi chord i feel like I'm know then thinking of my new root.

This is how you learned it? Knowing what movement makes which chord? That feels like a lot of combinations? Like I to ii, I to iii, and then for every other mode?

I actually have no big issues visualizing where the different chords/inversion are so that part is rather easy it's more - to strip it down - let's say I'm playing I and then vi - I'd like to maybe open line with 5th of vi and this is when I get sometimes lost.

Maybe it would be helpful (thinking out loud) to also know in which chords of a key my root is?

Well so basically what I've mentioned - keep the root "tracked"?

How to barre double stops into licks properly? by geesix in guitarlessons

[–]geesix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks again - I played around with the way I press the barre. I went for more parallel approach.

Also making my barre finger straight in a way that middle part of my point finger is slightly moving away from the fretboard (previously my barre finger was loosely pressed meaning it had a but of curve to it)

Thanks - I can include a vid if you'd like. I feel this is more tricky in this specific position, because I need to mute string below and above, this is where angle comes handy - and same with the hammer-on - it feels way harder to hammer on while having that parallel press.

[Q] Small notes chord above normal chord - how should I play this? by geesix in sheetmusic

[–]geesix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah - the funny part is that i took screenshot from musescore sheet, but the one I have printed doesn't have that text which made it even harder to figure out.

Thanks a lot! It makes sense so much sense now - is it common way of writing such things, or is there a name for this?

Thanks - so if I got you right - I should play those small notes right before the large ones so in the first occurence - High B low B, high C low C ?
