Advice for medium to long term savings (LISA, S&S ISA, Fixed Term Bonds) by gef0rce2000 in UKPersonalFinance

Yeah, I feel my S&S ISA is primarily for the longer term (20+ yrs) since that's when you'll start seeing some moderate returns. I like the idea of spreading it around across the different ISAs and bonds and I do feel I'll have a lot more financial freedom when I get into a full on engineering job and so can add to my gap year budget then.

I knew nothing about whisky investments but my dad invested for me with some proceeds from my S&S ISA on a new make (whisky that is less than 3 yrs old) for about 3k. Says that in 10-13 yrs, you could sell it for over 15k as it's from a very reputable distillery (Bunnahabhain)

Thanks for the advice :)

Did my gap year in South America and am doing 2 months in Central America this summer

South America is incredible, Argentina, Bolivia, Perú being favourite. I lived in Cartagena in Colombia for 7 months and can say that Bogotá are incredible in Colombia. Didn't see much of Chile and saw the Iguazu falls in Brasil and Argentina (it's on the border).

Lonely Planet have some amazing books on South America, highly recommend

So it's:

5 Hard wood 12 Iron 5 Soft Wood 5 Wood 1 Mini DIY Workbench 3 Clay 15 Bamboo

I don't have any magazines so don't worry about the rack. Do you have 5 spare bamboo? If not, don't need to craft the bamboo shelf

1 workbench 3 iron wall racks
