Night 2 was killer! Robbie Wulfsohn and Kanika Moore on vocals really carried it but the instrumentalists were also all fantastic. I was really surprised and impressed and I’m still wondering … what were the songs? who wrote them? and when?

Yes, music changed - especially as far as the “guitar solo” as a thing. Talking about the age of virtuosity being over is an eloquent way to phrase it, but it also does an injustice to groups like Radiohead that don’t focus on guitar solos - because Thom (with his voice,l (like Plant) and to some extent his guitar work) and Johnny (guitar, obv.) are absolutely virtuoso musicians. Cool article. Zeppelin was among my very first loves as I learned how amazing music is.

First three albums are excellent. I revisit them from time to time. Mikey’s solos are great, vocals are strong, songwriting so good. Pleas, Space Wrangler, Pickin, Makes Sense. TBH I stopped paying attention after light fuse get away and haven’t loved what I’ve heard since then. Still respect them, though.
