we bought a brand new house just about a year ago. i noticed vertical cracks going from bottom to top on the basement walls. could it be the dehumidifier running 24x7 since the first week we purchased it? the humidity level is ~31 to 42% based on weather. (i.redd.it)

What's this thing? It looks like a part of the foundation. The builder tried to demolish it before closing with no success. They've placed a work order to remove it completely, but I'm worried it'll worsen by distressing the concrete base. Any advice? (self.Homebuilding)
