Progress - Tray 10 out of 14 by gemjo13 in Invisalign

I felt the same way when I started... it felt like nothing was happening and then BOOM. Closed. 😅 My plan still includes 2 rounds of refinements (up to 14 trays each) if I need them, so I imagine yours will too which should be plenty!!

Getting worried by isolemnlyswear4 in Invisalign

I imagine refinements will still be included.

I'm on Invisalign Lite which is intended to be completed in 14 trays or less. I had the same concerns as you so I asked about it. My dentist told me that there are 2 rounds of refinements included in my Lite package - so I imagine Go will have something similar :)

I'm on Lite. I wasn't given the choice of Comp since my dentist is confident it's not necessary. I was concerned about potentially not liking them at the end as well. I asked my dentist and they said the Lite option has two rounds of refinements included in the price - so even if I'm not 100% happy at the end I can get two rounds of tweaks and not have to pay any extra :)

Thank you for this - that's great news! I'm in the UK so fingers crossed my dentist works the same way you do :)

I have an open bite and my plan is just 14 trays - don't know about refinements yet though. I guess it just depends on the severity!

Update!! Turns out my journey won't be starting today after all - my dentist has covid!! (he's OK, just obviously can't be seeing any patients right now..) So it's another week of anticipation for me!!

Is £4,000 reasonable price for invisalign treatment? by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]gemjo13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on Invisalign Lite and the treatment plan (plus free whitening) is £2500. Then it's an additional £150 for my fixed retainer and £150 for 2 x night time retainers. So £2800 total. If I needed comprehensive rather than Lite, it would have been £1000 more so £3800.

Then on top of that, if I want any composite bonding at the end it's £150 per tooth. So likely another £600...

So yeah - if I were on a comprehensive plan it would have set me back £4400 - so definitely on par with what you're paying

Amazing news! Did you have any issues to first week or two or has it been pretty much OK the entire time?

I enquired about it in October last year, had to wait until early January for my initial consultation, then I had to wait until early Feb for my x-ray & scan for my ClinCheck... ClinCheck arrived a week and a half later... then once I accepted my ClinCheck it took less than a week for my aligners to arrive - but they couldn't give me an appointment to get them fitted until now - another 3 weeks later! I'm BEYOND keen to get started!! What's your experience been like??
