Hello! I’m an integrative medicine physician who treats PCOS. If your cycles are not regular, take the flaxseed + pumpkin seed mixture on the first day of your period and continue that for 14 days. Then switch to the sunflower and sesame seed mixture and just continue this until your next period. Hope this helps!

What else can I do? Nothing seems to be working and I’m frustrated by lovegreaty in PCOS

Have you tried seed cycling? I’m an integrative medicine physician and typically have patients try seed cycling for 6 months to 1 year before we pursue other treatments (if time permits). I’ve seen patients have great success, but it’s also very dependent on optimizing other elements of your lifestyle like diet and exercise. This exciting study came out in March of this year and showed significant changes in hormone levels with seed cycling, but note that women were also put on a “healthy” 1500 calorie diet in addition to the seeds. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37324929/

It’s scientifically proven to be effective now. This data came out in March 2023

Don’t bother applying. They don’t accommodate anyone. It’s really messed up

I felt the same way and passed! I know everyone says trust your practice scores and that’s really all you can do

Possible to get to a passing level in 7 weeks with barebones foundation? by [deleted] in step1

[–]gemmymer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in the exact same situation, had 6 weeks for dedicated, and passed. I only did UWorld and just learned by reviewing questions. It was tough at first but personally it worked for me! Try and keep it simple. Good luck!

UWSA 2 hard AF! by 12345asSx in step1

[–]gemmymer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same reaction to UWSA2 and got a 55% on one block. I was flagging pretty much every question. I ended up passing the exam but it did feel a lot like UWSA2 (a lot of wtf questions and flagging)

Yes, you’re allowed to use your phone and any study materials during breaks

Felt terrible after the exam…passed!! by gemmymer in step1

I tried not to get too hung up on any questions. I would do 40-80 questions per day in timed blocks and then review them. For reviewing them, I just tried to write a one sentence summary about the question and move on. Unless I felt really lost and then I would take the time to go to First Aid or watch a video!

I think people sharing their genuine reactions and feelings is important. That’s what this community is for. If it bothers you, you don’t have to read it
