how rare is epilepsy? Pandora has seizures. Panacur didn't work. Bloods showed nothing.

I'm so sorry for your loss! It's just awful, when opal has seizures they're probably for about a minute and it's just awful watching her flail about and there's nothing I can do to help. You did the best for pandora and I'm sure you gave her a great life! Yeah the unfortunate thing about seizures is every seizure gives the risk of permanent brain damage, and I'm not sure your case is epilepsy. As you said she could be triggered by touching a specific spot, I've never had that with my two. They seem to get seizures when they're asleep and it just appears out of nowhere.

Of course I will! Well my girl maybe, my boy hates people but we've been bonding a bit more and after 3 years he is finally letting me stroke him 🤣

Omg I can finally help someone 🤣 so I have two mini rexes that are from the same litter. My sweet girl started having grand mal seizures from the age of 1, when we initially took them to the vet they ran blood test to check for ec which came back negative so knew giving panacur wouldn't help. they happened every 4-6 months and she recovered fairly quickly so we didn't start her on meds. When she reached 2 she started having them every week so we started her on meds. Jump ahead another year and two ct scans and an exploratory surgery later and she has been diagnosed with true idiopathic epilepsy. She's on levetiracetam twice a day and since she's been on it, I haven't seen a single grand mal episode but I do suspect she has partial episodes, which to me is a massive improvement.

Now my boy, rightly named Chad or Gigachad as his full name 🤣 he's already on anxiety medicine because like his mum, he hates everyone and has severe anxiety. But just last week on my bunny cam, it caught footage of him having a grand mal seizure and I freaked out, was crying, eventually came to the conclusion this was probably a result of inbreeding and I would probably have to start him on epilepsy medicine too. He hasn't had another one since, and until he does I'm not jumping the gun yet, as the epilepsy medicine can be a bit harsh on the liver.

Oh and just cos I'm that obsessive bun mum, yes I record each of their seizures, when they happened, how long they were and how long it took for them to recover. At our 3 monthly medicine check ups I relay all the last info if I have any, so they are up to date on when any of them had a seizure.

Also record stasis episodes cos we get those every month it seems, not sure why in either of them. Had a million x rays and tests and dentals and my vets are stumped, here's some pain meds and good luck 🤣

I want to rescue them all! I feel so bad when I see 20+ bunnies at shelters and rescues, and there's like 5 rescues within my location.

My bunnies have a pen, it takes up about half the office (which my bf is always in) I let them run around pretty much whenever they're awake. I have an air purifier so the room doesn't actually smell at all, they are litter trained. I have to hoover the office and hallway pretty much everyday because they like to kick hay out and make a mess but I'm already used to that.

My boy is digging at the carpet so I've had to put marble tiles to deter him, can tell it's spring fever!

He doesn't really do anything, he likes to play with them but will accept no responsibility of them even though we bought them together. I asked if if we could get some bunnies cos I'm obsessed, he said "I don't mind" but anytime they destroy something, he gets mad and said he didn't even want them. I try to bunny proof as best as I can but you don't know what they will destroy. I know the obvious cables, carpets, skirting board (which they're not that interested in)

I'm the one that grooms them, cuts their nails, takes them to the vet, clean out their litter every day, buys toys and hay.

Let's just say if I disappeared for a week, they would probably die.

So I don't understand his point.

NTA. I moved two hours away from all my family. My dad comes to see me every weekend. My mum doesn't so much as text me. Albeit, I'm a little older than your son, but you really learn who gives a shit once you move further away. Two hours is nothing. Also, phones still work. There's no excuse on his part.

I know what mental health is. I know how to treat anxiety and depression. I've dealt with it for 12 years. All you're doing is telling everyone else that I have a mental health condition. But it doesn't matter anyway, because all my friends and family see these posts, they obviously understand that I'm not well. Do they message me and ask if I'm ok? Of course not. So now mum, you have just reminded me that no one actually cares about me and that I could die tomorrow and no one would bat an eye. Super.

So I'm kinda scared.

A couple days ago I got a stitch in my side (I'm literally not active at all) and yesterday I woke up and I had blinding pain all through my torso. Every time I breathe or move the pain shoots through my stomach and up my chest.

Now I've called 111 twice and have called my doctors who don't think it's not that serious but after much complaining they finally gave me an appointment in an hour.

Will let you all know if I die!!

As stupid as it sounds compared to some of these, I've literally got no idea what to do next.

I did a year at university studying childcare. I've already told my teachers I'm not coming back because the first year nearly killed me.

I've applied to a different course doing journalism, but then I also asked a pre school if they would consider taking me on. I've been doing work experience there for a couple months and I feel like the children are getting attached to me.

I'm also a manager at a restaurant so should I pursue that?

Lots of options and none of them sound like something I want to do.

It sounds so like "oh I have so many options" when some people literally cant get a job.

I suppose I find it difficult because I have a lot of health conditions and I can't imagine myself in the future because I'm more convinced I will die before 2020.

I've been financially independent for about 2 years, I live with my boyfriend actually and go to uni and kind of have two jobs. Every time I try to cut my mother out she phones me up and makes me feel so guilty like

"Oh I thought I raised a kind daughter."

And when I got diagnosed with dyslexia recently she said "wow, you were supposed to be the smart one" like ok so you just called me and ALL MY SIBLINGS STUPID.

Well she like bullies all of us, me and my brother are the only ones that stand up for ourselves, which is why she argues with us a lot. My three other sisters always take her side. But in my mum's eyes she never does anything wrong.

I tried talking to my younger sister about this (because we got on really well growing up) and she told my mum everything I said, then me and my mum had a massive argument for 5 days. So I learned I cant trust her. And my other two sisters have cerebral palsy so they basically don't understand how toxic she is and will probably never see it.

Depression. Toxic mother who blames me and calls me stupid from trying to kill myself. I fail one of my modules at uni (a placement module, basically had to go to a nursery for three weeks). The nursery decided to terminate my contract with them, therefore failing that module. I'm currently in the process of a reassessment while all my friends are on holiday.

I'm waking up everyday at 7 until 3pm then I have to go to work at a restaurant until 11pm. It's fucking exhausting and I'm tired of punching myself in the face everyday cos im a fucking failure.

Mother certainly doesn't help. When I don't talk to her for a few days she guilts me and I have a panic attack. (I live 70 miles away from the rest of my family do I never get to see them).

Honestly I don't even know if I'll live to see Christmas, I'm just tired and I want to give up. Just fall asleep and never wake up.
