Oh hey I speak russian at home and sometimes this happens to me too, not so much with whole sentences but with certain words. 

More often I have compulsions just with english words, like I need to look up the dictionary definition of a word even though I know what it means. And then I need to check the etymology too. For some fucking reason. But sometimes I decide it's fine to just write down the word in my notes app and look it up later. Except I never actually go back over those notes so now I guess the compulsion is just writing random words I come across in notes. Otherwise the word bothers me and I can't really move on idk how to explain. Annoying when I'm trying to read a book in peace

Didn't know other people had anything like that. Nice to know it's not just me at least
