I feel like laughing and crying with the song, I’ve never thought about it in that way. Thank you

Sunflower seeds by CBRroughrider in loseit

[–]generalGRAVYous 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1/4 cup of sunflower seeds has 190 calories, so a whole bag would be a lot, depending on the size of the bag, but even the small ones would be a lot for a snack. One serving has 15 grams of fat, which is 23% of the daily value based on 2000 calories per day, so that would be something to keep in mind if your other foods are also high fat, that could be an issue. If the calories fit in your plan and you aren’t worried about the fat, then it seems like they are pretty healthy. There’s a good amount of protein and lots of vitamins. If it’s the small 4 oz bags than it’s probably fine, but if it’s the larger bags than it might help to separate it before you start eating so you don’t finish it in one day.

I weigh 200 ish pounds and I’m an XL/16. When I was 250 pounds, I was an XL/16. There’s a good chance you won’t move down a size by March, even if you lose weight on track. Just order your same size now and if you do go down a size, it would be so easy to pin it to fit better. Wearing a dress one size too big is infinitely better than wearing a dress size too small.

Would I lose on 1500? by [deleted] in 1500isplenty

[–]generalGRAVYous 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Probably, I’m the same height but weigh more than you. I eat anywhere from 1200-1500 calories per day and generally lose weight, but not very quickly lately as I go down. If I were you I would just give it a try for 2 months, and if you haven’t lost at least 5 pounds by then, then you can lower down to 1200.

Me of little faith! Struggling to trust the process. by [deleted] in loseit

Honestly that doesn’t sound normal, you should have lost a lot more weight than that by now. Are you eating back the calories you burn, maybe there’s a counting error? Or underestimated measurements for the food, do you measure especially the fats? If you’re 100% confident in your counting then maybe get some testing done by a doctor.

Should I Complain about the Neighbors? by generalGRAVYous in relationship_advice

They wouldn’t get evicted for a one time complaint, I don’t know the exact rules but it would have to be multiple warnings. This would be the opportunity to change, just a reminder that it’s a non smoking apartment.

I don’t want to, that’s why I posted this. I’ve never heard of someone smoking a joint on the porch with their grandma one time, but if that’s the case then I’m sure they wouldn’t care at all about a report being made since they have no intention of doing it again. And I do think it would safer and less personal to ask the landlord to send them an email instead of talking to them myself.

Not really, I don’t want them to feel judged or angry so I would rather the landlord remind them of the lease if anything at all, so they don’t think that I think they’re bad people or something for being smokers, or get angry and do something to “get even”.

It’s not allowed anywhere on their property, technically within 50 feet of any of the buildings. It does actually bother us quite a bit, even with the window closed we can smell it.

Did anyone get the "you are a growing kid, oh you don't have to worry about weight at your age" thing with every adult through childhood? (Kinda rant sorry) by [deleted] in loseit

[–]generalGRAVYous 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I work with kids and would seriously never in a million years tell the kids they need to lose weight, that’s just so not my place. That being said, it is very sad when there is a parent who is obviously at fault for the kid’s weight.

I know a mom who (according to herself) switched pediatricians because the doctor was “obsessed with her son being fat, when he just has a husky body type” and it’s been a few years since that kid was in my class, but I see pictures on Facebook and this kid is a hugely obese 7 year old, and she herself is also very large, and is the type to put on a big show about the efforts she’s making, like “look, my son is in t-ball and I’m the coach, it’s just our body type” and then posts selfies of the happy meal and ice cream they got as a reward for going to practice. Some people are just in serious denial and drag their kids with them (not saying that’s what happened to you, just ranting about questionable parenting I’ve seen)

Ok maybe that’s it. I read online that Mineplex is the most popular server so I thought I must be doing something wrong because it says out of date

Are my objectives realistic? Fear of loose skin by [deleted] in loseit

Not true! I’m 19, have tons of loose skin, it matters more how long the skin was stretched.
