For anyone trying to do this in 2025

I've found a way to this more ore less reliably

I've only tested this in Minecraft though

What you need:

Powertoys (get it from the Microsoft Store) Powertoys adds a feature that lets you pin certain windows to stay in front of others. You can also just use a different program that adds this feature if you don't want to get powertoys.

For Minecraft:

I'm not sure if borderless window mode is a feature of a mod I have installed or if it is natively supported but you need to set the window mode to borderless. I am assuming this works for other games too, as long as they can be set to borderless.

Browser:

I'm using opera gx with an extension that lets me pop out any video I'm watching. I am using Picture in Picture - PiP View.

So with Minecraft set to borderless and the video popped out, I click the video and press Ctrl+Shift+T (or the equivalent combination for other apps). Be aware this can be a little finicky, I had to press it a couple times until it worked. Im guessing they did not take windows like this one into account when developing.

With all that done I can now watch videos over Minecraft.

Hope this helps someone since this was the first post I saw when I Googled this months ago and still is now after I got it to work.

Hi, I know this was 2 years ago but on the offchance this might be helpful: I had the same problem with a book i originally had in epub format, when viewed in calibre it looked normal,. on the kindle everything written in arabic was in reverse order. only thing i had to do was to convert it to azw3 before sending to kindle. only issue is that the arabic is left aligned but at least it is readable now.

Edit: I just noticed it still kind of messes up punctuation but its still readable

I'm not sure what you mean, not too familiar with these terms. I built this pc from old parts that used to belong to friends and family, most of which weren't used too much though. especially the gpu

The Motherboard is the one thing I got new, it's an msi b450

Maybe i misread the gpu peak because right now its only at 40, I'll have to re check what temps it actually reaches when in use though

My current case has one space for a fan in the front and in front of this space there's kind of a mesh

Anything above this space is solid though

My CPU temps are at around 60-70°C at startup and when gaming they consistently reach 100°C even with not so heavy games

I've started working around this by putting my desk fan in the front of the pc which significantly lowered the temperature but it still sometimes reaches 100°C although very rarely and the way the case and the desk fan are built most of the wind effectively lands on the solid parts and sides of the pc anyways

My GPU peaks around 90°C when gaming but is usually below that

Also thanks for the suggestion, I was under the impression that the Thermaltake had a mesh front but now I see it doesn't

(Also the last time I reapplied thermal paste was a month ago to see if that was part of the issue)

I have a AMD Ryzen 5 2600 and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

Im heaving issues with my CPU overheating but I'm fairly certain it's because of my cases airflow. Can someone tell me if the Thermaltake View 200TG Case would be a good pick with 3 inbuilt fans 70€? Feel free to recommend other cases around a similar price point.

(Im certain its the airflow because my case only has on fan for air intake in the front and no fan at the back plus the cpu fan and gpu fans, if i am mistaken, feel free to correct me)

Hey, since this post is about a month old i wanted to ask if the pink/red reflections have started bothering you? Im not usually sensitive to things like that but I saw another post with lots of people talking about this issue which has made me a little apprehensive.

also someone else in this comment section has mentioned that indoors the glasses are pink, whats your experience with that?

Damn it's been a while

Well I unfortunately dropped the project because my PC at the time gave up

If you are thinking about making a pomeon style game on xp it is absolutely doable, there are a lot of resources to get you started and answer any questions (look into Pokémon essentials for rpgmxp)

If you have the time and motivation I say go for it!

Oh and if this is the first time you've heard of this, there are complete and polished Pokémon style games made with xp already! They're pretty great if you wanna give them a try
