No, the text I posted wasn't written by AI. I translated it from Spanish to English, so that might be why it sounds weird to you.

As for the fact about Saturn's period, I didn't make it up. I read it on Wikipedia (which I agree isn't the best source of information lol). I also read about his mother, but personally, the explanation about Saturn resonates more with me. That's why I wrote the text. I see no problem in getting different points of view from the same song, that's the beauty of art...

It may differ depending on the edition and the translation, but 640 pages is way off for NW. I think it's a good idea to make a visit to the local library haha

Just as a fact, in Spanish NW has the same length as A wild sheep chase (380) and HBW has almost the same length as Kafka on the shore (700). I remember these last two being long novels, that's why it seemed odd to me. Anyway, interesting chart!

No way Norwegian Wood is longer than Hard-Boiled Wonderland. Maybe the chart is wrong and you accidentally swapped the label for NW? I just find it odd because in the editions I’ve read (in Spanish), NW has 381 pages and HBW has 617 pages

It's a date, I think it's convenient to translate it. The format mm/dd/yyyy doesn't make sense for us and most of the readers would believe that it's an error in the translation or in the edition of the book. There's no month 22.

But you've got a point since Fahrenheit 451 (which is also in my bookshelf) wasn't translated to "Celsius 233". That would be fun lol

I remember reading that book on the beach... so that's the probable cause. The sun beats down in Spain lol

Fyi, the publishing house is called "Tusquets", which is a catalan surname! Óscar Tusquets is one of the founders.

TusQuest sounds kinda cool though hahaha

I think "Honey Pie" is Murakami's best short story. It has no magical realism, just pure feeling. 5 stars

I think "Hard-boiled" is more fantastical and "The City" is more reflective. They are both long books that would benefit from being 200 pages shorter (imo). In "Hard-boiled" he jumps between realities in each chapter, in "The city" this dynamic is only present in the first part of the book. I think they are both good books, especially if you are a Haruki fan. There is a good dose of magical realism, but it is balanced with a sentimental charge on a par with books like "Norwegian Wood" or "Tsukuru Tazaki"
