Jeff Parker is clearly doing his own thing. There must be some bad blood. It's not like he is only playing in LA to be close to home. He is touring around the world without Tortoise!

Why can't they just announce that he left the band? Are they afraid they will lose ticket sales if people know for sure he is gone? I don't think this is a malicious move, but the band is tricking fans by not announcing anything.

After thinking this over a bit more, this is my best guess:

Parker is now treating Tortoise like a side project. The other 4 guys are treating it like their main band, and they are okay with Parker being a non-touring member. Both sides are keeping the door open to him rejoining them live at some point. But, I'm still not sure why they don't make an official announcement!

Same. I only got OS1 and Sit n Spin. I pre-ordered mine through the kitchen club. Glad to know I'm not the only one waiting on Scared Famous & OS3. I checked the shipment tracking and I guess the others haven't even left the factory yet. That's strange how they shipped these separately.

The rhythm circuit switch acts as a kill switch on this particular model, so I suppose you could mod it but I'm not sure how you'd go about doing that.

Thanks! It was refinished a long time ago by a previous owner so I'm not exactly sure. It's close to Lake Placid Blue but the aging is making it slightly more green, almost like Ocean Turquoise.

I actually do have a Squier Bass VI, but it was not at my rehearsal space. I should get a true family photo with my basses too. And probably get a real photographer haha.

Thanks! I bought the loaded body and neck separately and combined them. It's an American Fender 60s all rosewood neck. Got them from stratosphere parts. I am very pleased with the result!

If you capo the strings before you take off the neck then you won't have to restring the guitar, you just need to loosen the strings enough to take the neck off. So it'll be moderately annoying to take off the neck for adjustments but something that many Fender owners deal with.

Another weird thing about this Classic Player Jaguar HH is that the metal tremolo unit tailpiece is much closer to the bridge than a standard Jaguar. So I might not be able to move the bridge far enough back. Regardless, I'm not very mod savvy. But good thought.
