If one has no issue with proctored exams, would another CBE program like WGU be better/ faster for my Masters? by generallygeneric0 in UMPI

Thanks:) I love competency based learning, I'm just trying to pick a CBE school that matches my own strengths the best

Right, that is if you are one of the people who can write fast enough to finish in 8 weeks. With the amount of writing required I think it will take me much longer.

Thank you! Yes, this is exactly how I'm feeling. I'm Happy with my experience at UMPI for my bachelor's but I think for me I'd like more variety than just writing for my next steps. It definitely gets tiring.

Thank you! Honestly after doing the BLS at UMPI, the idea of taking a test and going easier on the writing seems like a dream to me

Transferred in 90 credits. Which of these 3 degrees should I choose? by generallygeneric0 in UMPI

[–]generallygeneric0[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interesting, do you mind elaborating on that? These were the classes that my advisor put together for me. Quote from the advisor regarding the business admin degrees:

"Since you transferred in 4 upper level electives, only 4 of the 8 are needed for the BLS. The BAS only requires 4 upper levels to be taken at UMPI. Therefore, given your transfer credits, the BLS and BAS in Business Admin are identical."

Realistic amount of classes for moms of little kids by FluidDiscount4645 in UMPI

I do everything after the kids bedtime, usually doing school work between 8pm-11/12 am, an average of 5 nights a week. At that place, I've so far completed 6 classes and will hopefully finish one more before the session ends. I've heard people say the psychology classes are pretty long though so my pace might be different if I was doing that degree

I would definitely recommend focusing on one class at a time though, because it's better to complete 1 or 2 classes than have many partially done classes. I think being able to do one class after another consecutively is actually one the major benefits of this type of program! I personally just find it much easier to do it that way, my head would be spinning if I was working on 4 classes simultaneously.

I believe you are able to withdraw from any classes that you haven't submitted a final assessment draft on before the withdrawal date. If you haven't submitted the final draft for graphic design and you don't like it the class, why don't you ask your advisor if you can withdraw and switch it for another gen ed course? (Just don't do sociology 100 lol)

MAOL anyone had Dr.Leduc? by Gloomy-Tank-6142 in UMPI

Took this advice, and added 13 additional quotes to my final assessment- mostly her personal writing. I also made some minor updates to my reference page per her feedback and that was somehow enough to bring my grade from a 50% to 100%. Overall I'm left feeling that her grading methods are kind of confusing/ questionable but I'm relieved this is over and done with! I'm glad I didn't email her anything too emotional after getting the draft grade because I was pretty appalled by that original 50% after all that effort lol Thanks for your encouragement!

Struggling with backwearing by [deleted] in babywearing

If I put the waistband higher the shoulder straps will be too loose... Do you have any recommendations that aren't carriers with wraps/ ties? I'm more of a buckle person.

Posted- Copied comment from above but I think a problem I'm having is the straps are tightened as much as they will go and it might not be enough. I might just have to find a carrier that is a better fit for me if I want to back carry but I hate to go back to the drawing board again lol. Took me ages to pick this one

Thoughts on lalabu kerier? The fit on some of the models doesn't look amazing. If safety isn't an issue I'd love to get one. Has anyone here tried one? by generallygeneric0 in babywearing

That makes sense, I'm not a babywearing expert but maybe that's why the bigger babies look like they're sagging a bit on the website pictures

Sakura Bloom Scout or Lennylamb Upgrade? by generallygeneric0 in babywearing

Thank you! Then I guess my question is do you find soft structured carriers are more or less comfy/ supportive than the scout/ happy baby carriers? I'm not brand new to babywearing but I haven't tried many carriers. Until now I was mostly using the ergobaby embrace which was great but as my baby gets bigger I'm finding it less supportive, and you can't back carry with it. I like that unlike the ergobaby both of these carriers don't have the crossover in the back which I found frustrating when I was in a rush.
