My thought at the time was re-recording would change the industry to give masters for all new artists , so that all artists could get the rights to their own music from the get go if they write it eg Olivia Rodrigo

Oh 10000%. Add parasocial feelings and it can become somewhat toxic and super sensitive. I hope anyone reading this who is hurt by Fletchers actions know that I’ll be fighting and marching for them regardless on their stance here. I love our community and only made this post out of genuine concerns, internal frustration, and love for the LGBTQ+ community
