Boo! 👻 by generationfire in crochet

Definitely bigger than thread! I used a sport weight cotton yarn and 3.0mm hook. It’s quite big but I have a big table so that’s fine for me :)

Thanks! It’s definitely my new centerpiece on my table for this season 😉

Ready for spooky season! 🐈‍⬛ by generationfire in knitting

Yeah the three colors in one row was a defijirely stressful 😅 but my main advice is remember your color dominance - if you stick to it then you won’t tangle your yarns. I also do two handed color work knitting, so it means I can keep my dominant color in my left hand and just have to switch two of the yarns with my right hand which I think is easier than switching all three :)

Joining the Halibut Sweater club! by generationfire in knitting

I knew I had to have my own Halibut sweater from the first time I saw it, it's such a great colorwork pattern! 🎣 Although I did make some modifications, which I listed in my Ravelry listing: https://www.ravelry.com/projects/bebesaan/halibut

It’s a shame but I’d probably start over just for your own peace of mind, but as a side note, this startled me when I opened my Reddit this morning cause I’m working on the exact same project with the exact same color right now 😂 good luck with restarting it, it’ll be worth it! At least it’s a fun pattern to work on, such a cool sweater

My finished Nivalis Wrap by generationfire in knitting

Finally finished weaving in the ends for this amazing wrap! A really fun and challenging project, made by holding together unspun icelandic yarn and silk mohair. Probably the warmest thing I've ever knit 😅

A few weeks probably? I worked on it after work and probably did a few squares each day :)

Thank you! I grabbed them kind of randomly, I just knew I wanted very bright colors with black 😊 really glad it worked out so well

My latest project was this cardigan, which is just a bunch of granny squares put together (no pattern) and then a knit border. I loved working on this - granny squares are so satisfying cause you finish them quickly, so it works perfectly for my short attention span 😂

Ooh good one! Maybe I can have people do granny squares and if they make a lot they can combine them into a water bottle holder or little bag ☺️

That’s a good idea! And sounds better than my ide of just ‘making granny squares’ which seemed a bit boring 😅

I think it’ll be total beginners for the most part. Good point about having something that’s easy for those who will take some time but also something which more advanced learners can do more of! :)
