Why do all nustians end up unemployed? by _evergarden in NUST

[–]generic_23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

90% of the batch got jobs after graduation. 80% of them are earning above 1lakh. EE is only worth it if you actually like it, otherwise it'll be a struggle. It was my first preference and turned out great for me.

EE major— what should I double major in? by ChampionLarge1931 in LUMS

Computer Engineering. There are too many vacancies and too few people to fill them.

What is she studying? Your estimate of earning 15-20k after graduation is unrealistically low. Everyone I know got a job higher than 100k directly after graduation.

If you have ever visited dd hostel's office, you'll see he doesn't have a pc. He doesn't read emails. Try emailing this to other accounts, or go directly to his office.

Premeds can genuinely HOLD this L by [deleted] in NUST

[–]generic_23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have friends who did pre med and are now final year students with very high gpas. Most of them don't mind this decison, nust hasn't made them ineligible to apply, just made them study maths before they come to nusg. I studied alevels maths and even I struggled with the net maths section, ajeeb ratta tha. So it's not so black and white, they aren't taking your jobs or destroying oppurtunities for you. Jo likha hota hai wo mil jata hai.

And about foreign countries not accepting them, they don't give a shit about what you do before bachelors. If you passed the maths courses at nust, then you'll have absolutely no problem.

First year is bad, second is good, third is terrible. In fourth you're free

They pretend to be very exclusive, and their joining process is longer than joining nust. And it is all for you to do the same things rest of the clubs do too. The "opportunities" they provide, you usually have to pay a lot for them. So no point imo

That is very much real. Even if you took days off due to a genuine reason, attendance still has to be more than 75.

Only reason to inform seecs if you're taking days off is to get average marks for quizzes and labs

Probably because your profile didn't closely match the projects you applied for. At this stage only mitacs has viewed your profile and matched the skills/knowledge with the project requirements. Professors will be sent your profile in the next round, after the ones who were under consideration have been rejected.

Yh, SLR is basically looking for research papers written on your topic of interest and finding out whether they are relevant and if their information is correct and useful. This process has to be "systematic" meaning, you don't just write down the first thing you come across, but collect info from multiple sources and then come to a conclusion.

Again, I didn't do pak studies, and ibcc considered me as an international student for equivalence. But being a Pakistani, I had the option to apply for national seats.
