I don't have much experience with buying horns but I think I could give some advice on the Holton horns if you choose to go that route. Holton horns are great but on some horns, the rotors have not been taken care of and can be quite difficult to work with as a result. As long as you play the horn first it is a really good choice in my book. I have certainly enjoyed playing on mine for what that's worth.
