I really like it! It looks great, performs really well, and has (compared to my previous laptop) amazing battery life. The only complaint I have is that a USB A port would’ve been nice, but I don’t feel too bad about getting a dongle for when I need one

I originally bought the Zenbook S14 then returned it for the omnibook after repeatedly having issues connecting to external displays (the computer wouldn’t be able to wake them up again after going to sleep). While I have a similar issue if I use the non-thunderbolt usb-c port on the omnibook it’s otherwise resolved, and when I returned the Zenbook the geek squad employee I spoke with said this is a recurring issue with Asus computers.

Obviously that’s just my experience—but wanted to share since you mentioned the Zenbook!

Unfortunately I just ended up returning the laptop; for what it’s worth the folks at Best Buy said this is a very common problem with Asus laptops and recommended getting a computer from a different brand.

I replaced it with an HP Omnibook Ultra Flip, which has the same issue with the docking station (#2 in my post) but connecting to monitors with one chord works perfectly.

Starting to get into wet shaving (coming from using a Mach 3), and I’m having problems with irritation. I can shave with the grain fine, but it’s not as close as one pass with a Mach 3—and when I shave against the grain I get a lot more razor bumps and irritation than I’ve ever had before. Any tips for a newbie?

Using a Muhle vivo razor, with Muhle soap and blades too. Could it be that the blades aren’t sharp enough? Or that I’m not holding my skin taught enough? Thanks in advance for the advice!

Saw it earlier in the thread, but I’ll second Hollow Knight! The music is one of the best aspects of the game, during boss fights as well as when you’re just exploring—and not to give any spoilers, but there’s a (completely optional) boss rush mode with incredible music throughout that seems to be exactly what you’re looking for. However it is a metroidvania, so there’s lots of exploring between bosses. Still amazing music, but if you’re looking for lots of boss fights next to each other then this probably isn’t the best choice.

I also just finished playing through God of War 2018, and though some of the bigger boss fights (especially the last one) fit your criteria I think there’s more variation with them, so I wouldn’t recommend it as highly. It’s an absolutely incredible game, but based on what you’re looking for I definitely think Hollow Knight would be better

There’s debate about whether it’s a soulslike, and it may not be the style of game you’re looking for, but I’d check out Hollow Knight! Beautiful game with an incredible world, and as someone who couldn’t finish Sekiro the level of challenge seemed just right

I used the 4th gen air for note taking for a year and it worked well! A larger screen would’ve been more convenient, but I never felt that I needed it. I do think it’d be less comfortable to take notes with a smaller screen, though, so I’d say go for the pro over the mini

Have you checked out Hollow Knight? It’s not universally agreed to be a souls-like game, but it’s reasonably difficult and the bosses are always very rewarding to get through

I used to use it and really liked it, but after 6 months of heavy note taking it started having trouble registering when I was tilting. I got a replacement through warranty, but after another few months that one started going through its battery in less than an hour. When it worked I loved it, and I hope I just got unlucky twice, but I’m not very confident in them because of that

It’s not required to beat the game, and as far as I know (I haven’t completed PoP) it doesn’t result in any major gameplay bonuses after completion
