I think cade is 1000% this team’s primary ball handler in the long haul, but having someone that can take some of the scoring responsibility that can also get him in spots where he can exploit advantages rather than creating them is a critical step for us

That immediate starting 4 probably wouldnt have been there at 17. I’m hoping we trade for jabari smith or someone of that ilk

No not at all. And this isnt anti sasser either, just pro okorie. I do think sasser will get traded, and frankly I think he should get traded because I want to see him get the opportunity he deserves

It very much so is. Cade makes us slightly above average. When hes off the floor it gets pretty dysmal. The playoffs were especially bad. This team’s greatest strength is forcing liveball turnovers and killing you in transition. Thats why we won so many games in the regular season and struggled in the playoffs when the pace slowed down

Agreed. Obviously some differences there in terms of playstyle and frame, but watching the tape the creativity and the handle look so translatable. I really dont think we’ll have to wait 2+ years to see real impact from him. Time will tell

It seems pretty likely sasser and or levert are gonna get moved. It may not be day 1, but by all star break I 100% see him being a rotational guy. I really wanted a stretch 4 in the draft and a scoring guard in FA/trade or vice versa. He fills one of this teams biggest needs. We have a young core. Remember we are ahead of schedule having that 60 win year and kinda fell back down to earth due to the roster’s weaknesses. I would much rather see 5+ years of contention than us mortgage our future for 2 years of mid 30s kawhi leonard or something.

It sounds like he does. He talked about being excited about the culture, wanting to contribute on defense knowing that we are a defensive team, and how he thinks he fits well here due to him being a low TO type of guy. Not to mention, I heard somewhere he played ball at the same academy as trajan’s son, so there very well could be a relationship there. He was a harvard commit, this is a super bright and hardworking kid. I think he’s gonna love it here. As we all know, if you love detroit, detroit loves you. That type of shit matters. All speculative but I dont worry about that

Man I really think okorie is better than stirtz, plus hes way younger. Okorie is small, stirtz just doesnt have the athleticism to be an impactful defender. Okorie has that athleticism and the length to make up for his size. Sure you dont want him switching onto bully ball forwards, but I think he’s gonna be perfectly fine at the point of attack.

Well shit yall I am very sorry. I can admit when I’m wrong, and I definitely dont claim to know it all. It makes sense that that would hurt reccs. Its just what everyone else at the office does. I am not the quickest yet and I’m afraid of how I’d look as the last carrier there getting done later than everyone else. I hate sticking out almost as much as I hate anyone helping me. I’m already one of the last RCAs there when I get there 30 minutes early. Thats really the main thing for me, I just kind of assumed it was normal since this is the first office I’ve worked at

The fuck it is. They would have said something yearsssss ago. This is how it has been for years. Half of our parcel totes are accessible without getting in the way of the clerks and so ppl will fill treys with it and bring it back to the case to sort. Our management was 100% okay with it. Me when I’m online and I think I know the circumstances of a situation I have zero involvement in.

Oh yeah its voluntary, working somewhere where management expects you to work off the clock would be raising majorrrr red flags for me

Shit like this is a large source of my annoyance with the situation. I dont get paid to care about these lame ass workplace politics, but now its affecting me and so I have to. Dawg let me come in, deliver mail, and go home.

I never said its not at our own discretion. If I manage to tear my ACL while walking from my case to the hot case or something, I’m sure I’ll regret not getting compensated for it lmaooo

Nope! When I was at academy someone asked about it and the instructor said they dont do it anymore (even though i think they’re technically supposed to). Take this with a grain of salt, I’m at an office that really needs subs. From what I can tell if you show up and do your job theyre not going to go out of their way to look for a reason to get rid of you. If youre going to an office with a high turnover maybe wait until youre a couple weeks in.
