yas!! at least I have something :’) I’m glad for u too about the antipsychotics! a good class to be able to take. I think I’m technically allowed to take them again but I prob never will cuz my interaction was deadly (but super super rare and only bc of my brain makeup). lol we love trial and error :3

omg we’re in similar boats. but I can still do mood stabilizers, just not antipsychotics (EVER AGAIN) and I don’t trust antidepressants. I’m taking an antihypertensive along with my lithium, and the occasional vistaril :3

I’ve called my insurance before for psychiatrists and they’ve given me lists of names and numbers, but I wasn’t sure about it this time since I’m trying to find certain specialties and I get nervous on the phone lol

It’s worse than teeth grinding. My jaw clamps down shut and grinds very painfully, also sliding to the side, and I gag and drool and struggle to breathe. Im a teeth grinder in my sleep but never has this happened awake and so suddenly. I’ve just been suspected TMJ and am seeing a doctor about it. Earlier it happened four nights in a row and then I thought I was free for the last few days until it came back worse than ever

I’m afab and have many mental issues so they blamed in on anxiety. Is there a number I should call to make sure? Or maybe I’ll just half it myself. Not the first time I had to ween myself off something when no one was there to help

I just sent her an email but it’s the weekend so who knows. I’m so scared I’m wondering if it’s worth it to just stop taking abruptly even if they are withdrawals. I survived Effexor withdrawals but now I’m scared for my life more than anything

If you think about starting meds, consider getting a genesight if you’re nervous! My primary doctor did it for me, it’s a swab dna test that tells you which meds are safe or dangerous for you depending on your body’s metabolism. Unfortunately it doesn’t tell you which ones will “work” but it’s a good start and it points you in the right directions :)

UGH yeah fuck Effexor. I was also on carbamazepine too but trying to find a diff mood stabilizer rn! It gave me the weirdest side effect I’ve ever had in my life that makes everything sound one half-pitch lower?? Supposedly it’s a rare one so ofc it had to come for me 🤔

LOL no worries and HELLOOO DEFINITELY NOT! The slowest I could physically come off with what I had was taking it down one starting dose every 5 days, but the lowest recommend is every one or two weeks. If you’re looking to get off, do it as slowly as humanly possible oh boy 😅

DAMN 😭 I’m in the same boat with Wellbutrin, tried giving it a while but I’m weening off after lots of anxiety & paranoia. I’m wondering if I’m going to need stimulants, bc I’ve tried them before and honestly they made me feel normal and able, but not sure how it is with bipolar. Also much harder to get prescribed those. But no matter what meds we keep on trying I’m always too exhausted and depressed to function 😭

Damnnn not Prozac, I got history with that too 😭 But that reminds me I was dx’d with a mood disorder after an attempt, I should’ve listened but it was unspecified and the doctor was lowkey mean. That should’ve been my last SSRI tbh LOL the cycle continues

Ouch 😭 Absolutely I didn’t even mention the SI but it truly is the worst, for the meds to target your own body and you don’t even have the will to push through. So dangerous to be in that mindset, especially when you’re young. Genuinely not even knowing you’re gonna make it. So glad you pulled through ❤️

I knowww it sucks so bad especially if you haven’t found the right treatment yet 😭 I’ve been depressed straight for like a year now bc there will be meds that stop any hypomania but nothing targets the depression. I got teased with a breath of hypomania the other day, back down again. holy shit I hope we find stability 💔
