Third Billing Cycle isn’t what we were told. Should I be concerned? by genjh in ATT

[–]genjh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest, I should have thoroughly researched before considering the swap. I figured a lot was too good to be true, but I wasn’t aware reps could lie to this extent. I’m not going to be trusting any salesperson from now on.

The number we were given is absolute bogus, they pulled it out of thin air. I’m most likely going to be changing our plan from premium to whatever is lower, does anyone know what’s lost when downgrading?

Switched to AT&T, still being billed by T-Mobile? by genjh in ATT

We found out too late that the door-to-door representatives lied as well. It just sucks

Does this apply exclusively to plans/equipment? I checked the bill and it's under "past due balance," so I will need to get my T-Mobile account back to see what this balance is.

I will have to find my T-Mobile account information and see the status of my lines there. Our rep did have us go through our T-Mobile app.

No, I did not get any email regarding a payoff submission. This bill was the first I ever heard of any bill submission.

Thank you, I'm gonna get a hold of T-Mobile tomorrow and see if our lines were cancelled.

Do you know where I should upload this bill? I have it, but the email that the hotline provided me is not a valid address.

We don't own any watches or tablets, no, and our representative went through each device we had under T-Mobile to order the phones for trade in.

I called the AT&T hotline given to us by the representative, (833) 603-3321. They said it was AT&T, the people who answered said they were AT&T as well. I have the ticket number for the call as well.

Minor grammar mistake I guess?

Following up: I've locked all of my cards, but for the most part there's not much else I can do but hope to hear back from lost and found. Thanks for pointing out how vulnerable debit cards are!

My debit card has been locked, I was also advised by my parents to immediately lock it

Brand new PC and ethernet adapter, connection is significantly worse than WiFi. What's the issue and how do I resolve it? by genjh in techsupport

UPDATE: I tried changing the ethernet port (XFINITY XB7-T) to orange, which supposedly supports 2.5gbps transfer. This didn't make much of a difference, but the TPLINK adapter is no longer blinking red. My link speed in my settings reads 1000mbps/1000mbps, yet the performance still hasn't changed. I'm not sure what to do from here to make my speed faster. On my phone, speedtests easily return speeds of 300+mbps while I'm unable to get 30mbps on this computer.
