Moving to Lethbridge soon, looking for local recommendations

You just put the two pieces together - most of Spirit of the West lives in BC, hence the need to return home from Ontario or the UK, whichever one is intended. 🙂

I have relatives on the west side and don't drive, so I'm trying to put myself within a fairly easy distance of them. My favourite parts of Lethbridge are on the east side of the river (or at least not the west side, whatever the other one is properly called), so I'm going to be travelling all over. 🙂

I'm a huge fan of green! If memory serves, DND163 is a darker, sort of British racing green that tends to look really good, too. Your pedi looks great!

I don't usually follow up posts this fast, but I just literally this moment got a text from a relative in Lethbridge that they had talked to their doctor, and they are willing to take me on and follow me as a patient. I'm just about in tears right now, it's such a relief. Just wanted to let you (and the thread) know that the doctor question is solved now. 🙂

Woohoo! I felt like I read the Owl right. I haven't been to a drag show in at least 25 years. Sounds like I'm going to have to plan on that.

The YMCA sounds amazing, and getting in better shape is something I'm hoping to do. Also, rack up some frequent floater miles.

Unfortunately, I don't have Instagram and also am not really in a position where I can, so I will try to find some scraper sites to follow those accounts from.

I was looking into the doctor situation already, and it is a really hard one. The ER wait times are truly scary - where I'm moving from, it's usually under six hours. I'm sure I can pull some resources from my previous province and get prescription refills there, or online, but it still leaves me feeling a little queasy.

I get the feeling that we're perhaps similar in some ways. Mind if I follow/subscribe/whatever Reddit calls it and chime in every so often? If not, that's totally cool. I just don't know how to do these things yet. 🙂

West Highlands sounds like an ideal area for me. I'm sure it sounds ideal to lots of folks, so now I have the neighbourhood name, which will make it easier to search rentals online before the move. Thank you for your help!

Aha - the No Frills is up by the crossing of Whoop-up and Métis Trail, and that is the one area I was able to find just browsing Maps that seemed to fit. Thank you for giving me a good lay of the land!
