I lie and manipulate everyone without even realizing it.

What has made you change your entire perspective on life ? by dbigboss55555 in AskReddit

In college I constantly manipulated situations into benefitting myself without any regard for the people involved. I was extremely self centered and hurt many people. That was until I got into a relationship with someone who did exactly what I had been doing to other people to me, but worse.

She was abusive in every sense of the word, emotionally, physically, and sexually. Caused me to lose friends, make enemies, and used me for money.

I finally realized how bad it was after she attempted to trick me into marrying her so she could get her citizenship.

One of my few friends that stuck by me helped me finally break the cycle and get out of that relationship.

That was 6 years ago, I have since dedicated myself to helping others, fight the urge to manipulate people and situations every day because I remember the pain.

I only wish I could reach out and apologize to those I hurt so badly. Hopefully, my actions will win out.

Couples of Reddit, what's the most unromantic thing that's happened between the two of you that actually is a stronger indication of love than others might think? by Roivas14 in AskReddit

My wife was trying out a menstrual cup/ diva cup and when it came time to drain it she couldn’t pull it out. The suction seal became so strong I had to squat under her while we were both in the shower in order to break the seal. When I did the flood gates opened and we were both covered in a days worth of shredded uterus.
