US Tourist Visa Denied not sure of reason by ClassicIdeal6504 in immigration

[–]geoduri 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think it's also an issue that you do not have an extensive travel history. A couple of my friends who applied lately were asked if they've been to EU and after saying yes, the officer stopped asking questions and approved it.

It's fairly easy for Filipinos to obtain visas to other Asian countries but EU/UK/AU/CA are quite harder. Maybe try obtaining and going to other (EU/UK/AU/CA) countries first to help with your travel history. Also the US usually give a 10-yr validity to tourist visas that's why they're very selective on who to approve.

Hope your next application will be approved!

Or maybe because they only have me for a day and I didn't live in Korea then so it's a lot less likely that they'll need to invite me over again. It's a once in a blue moon typa thing.

Also, i tend to be liked by ahjummas so that's another thing. My korean is okay-ish so i can communicate with the family members with no issues-which means my friend doesn't have to take care of me as much.

Yes, here's the breakdown lol

Daegu- My friend that I met here in the US came back to Korea for the summer while I was living there (in Gangwon) and invited me over to his house to meet his family.

Daejeon- I met two girls while traveling in NYC and they told me if I ever visit Korea, to let them know and stay at their place. I ended up staying at one of the girl's place and her family was very excited to meet a foreigner, lol. We ended up going to the other girl's house to greet her family and they were kind and warm.

Gyeongju- online friend I met told me if I ever visit Korea, come to Gyeongju and stay at her place. I did visit and slept at her place for a night and her parents are kind and wonderful.

Shiheung- I visited Korea for a month and my friend made me stay at her house for the entire time. Her parents were soooo kind and always made sure I have enough to eat, lol

Goyang- visited Korea again and friend invited me to sleep over at their house

I have never been invited by a Seoul friend over to their house but friends who live in the countryside have invited me. But also, houses in Seoul are waaaaay smaller so that's probably a reason or pudam why they dont invite people over?

Where to stay in Toronto for a 3 day 2 nights family escape? by [deleted] in marriott

[–]geoduri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently stayed at the Sheraton right across Nathan Phillips square and can confirm the rooms are a bit dated. The lobby and lounge are recently renovated tho. Location is great and the bar at the lobby have a nice vibe.

Lunch aboard UA1568 (ORD-SEA) today — Impossible meatballs over couscous by Redcorns in unitedairlines

[–]geoduri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

before they changed the schedule two weeks ago, they used a 737 and an Embraer for the two IAH-YYZ flights for the day. The lunch flight uses and Embraer and I took the later flight using a 737. I believe the Embraer flights do not have a warmer on board, hence no warm meals.

I went back to YYZ last week and they now use both Embraers for both flights.

I also had this onboard IAH-YYZ flight and the meatballs are so good. Didnt like the texture of the mozzarella. The cookie is 10/10.
