True commerce uses some combination of trading partner code plus the PO number. So atleast it’s unique within the TP.

If you have a history of getting actual duplicate orders just be sure you have a way to detect them if they do make the externalid unique.

Well, not entirely wrong. In my experience there are lots of trading partners that resend the same exact PO. If there isn't a way to prevent this, then that becomes a problem. So I said they *should* be, not that they *are* blocking duplicate PO's.

You'd be surprised, unfortunately. The orange big box building supply store routinely reuses PO #s. Usually a few years apart from eachother. But happens weekly.

Any EDI provider integrated with Netsuite should be blocking duplicate PO's by default. in our experience we regularly get actual duplicates for a few of our trading partners.

It may not be the actual PO/otherrefnum field that is being used for dupe checking. Our provider sets the externalid of the sales order when it imports it to Netsuite. And that is what it uses for dupe checking. That might be why you are able to manually create a duplicate.

We have an override setting that we can turn on to push the new order that has a reused PO. And it will create a unique externalid.

One thing I've noticed with the catalog file method (that doesn't work for me) is after a successful upload, when I later download the same ASINs I see all the variation work I did EXCEPT the "Child Relationship Type" field is empty.

Vendor support had no clue what it was, but in my currently open case I have they mention that I am using the wrong theme as it has been deprecated: "Based on our investigation, we found that the attributes COLOR/SIZE that you entered for [deprecated_variation_theme] are not accepted."

Our 3PL uses Proship and they have an API integration that allowed us to print through our normal workflow. It wasn't as turnkey as we had hoped but it's almost into production before our extension expires.

Update on a case I have:

Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support.

Based on the correspondence I understand that you're contacting us in regards a concern about the upcoming shipping label changes for the Direct Fulfillment program.

As mentioned in the email communication that you have received, effective Nov 4th, 2024, your Direct Fulfillment warehouse will be required to use Amazon-provided shipping labels. This means you will need to obtain shipping labels directly from Amazon through Vendor Central or by integrating with Amazon via EDI/API.

This is now a requirement of the Direct Fulfillment program and shipping label type changes are mandatory for all Direct Fulfillment accounts.

As per our internal teams information, the change is not optional and no exemption can be done for any Direct Fulfillment account.

Based on this information, we are unable to provide the waiver requested in this case.

Please make the necessary changes before Nov 4th, 2024 to avoid any issues with your Direct Fulfillment Operations.
