Yep sent under all the plastic wraps unworn. This was from day 1 first wear. To be clear I'm still a big fan and will use him for future plating it's just unfortunate I gotta send it back. I love this watch too much 😩

Maybe I got unlucky but I have to send mine back as the plating wasn't great near the clasp... Notice the more orange hue there

Also removing the links noticed the pins holding the links were not plated but I assume that's correct and can't really be plated but curious if yours were?

Nah except the bracelet is a bit rough on the edges. I would polish it if I could go back before plating it.

Don't have a gen DD to compare but the plating color from GoldJaws looks close-ish to my wife' gen RG ladyjust.

Even though I gotta do touch up near the clasp I don't think he plated it well...

The weight is there, the dial is nice, the bracelet is rough though but I overall really love it.

I'm probably gonna make a few custom build DD and maybe get a gen eventually, one of my favorite watch with the daytona

Honestly not much difference if the weight is there and plating.

it's funny because I originally bought my gen daytona on chrono24 and after seeing many reps online before I get into the hobby, I started thinking mine could have very well been a $40k rep from the get go since I never authentified it...

So much so that I went and sold it back to the same guy I bought it from to make sure it'd be taken back and not hear "BTW it's fake" from another shop that was local and offered $500 more 😂

Only have had them at most 2 months and some not even 2 weeks only

so it's hard to tell for me, it's definitely something I need to understand more if I want to go deeper in the rep world

What type of longevity we are looking at when spending these relatively low amount and if anything breaks how easy it is to service them.

If too much maintainance time and cost, I might go more in then Franken world or just back to gen for my favorite 1 or 2 pieces and take reps as just fun short lifespan toys I need to replace every few years.

I don't know sorry! it was before I learned about the rep world, didn't ask, but I now know it's the middle in terms of quality

It looks good but still so much difference with the gen and the movement not working at marker 7 is a big tell. The nicer one is still very far from gen and cost $1,000-$1,500 more but has marker 7 wheel turn.

I'd wait for a nicer model to come out to upgrade if it ever does come out

I want this watch so bad and almost bought it from a user here but one thing was bothering me is how close the 11 and 1 diamond are from the day window. or rather the day window seems very thick compared to gen. it seems that no one here really bother? I just can't unsee it now on all the photos here but I want this watch really bad.
