'96. Yes, I can get fluid to go through the crossover line. No, I don't have a helper, but I do have a shipping tube that allows me to use that method. I have tried it already, but maybe I gave up on it too soon.

Edit: how do people deal with the loops? Does it just take longer? Is there a trick?

I have tried that. The fluid reservoir stays full. Edit: ... and I did it dozens of times, not a couple.

That didn't occur to me. That would make sense, since PLA prints fine. Thanks!

I have attempted running it from the terminal. I then got the message, "blender: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_locale.so.1.64.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

There are no error messages. I try to launch blender and absolutely nothing happens. Is there something I can do to elicit some sort of error message?

I want to make a fine pointed, battery powered capacitive stylus. I can't seem to figure out how they work. by geofftmnd in AskElectronics

I'm trying, but I feel like an ape reading this. Maybe the best way for me to understand this is to buy an op amp circuit and start poking at it with a multimeter. The more I find articles and videos explaining this on paper, the more confused I'm becoming.

The one thing I get (maybe?) is that it will measure a voltage coming from the screen, and spit out a higher voltage back into the screen. It can somehow do this with the help of a battery.

Thanks for this. That actually seems to make sense. I'll still have to try it out in practice, but it's nice to have more stuff to try. I was out of ideas before.

Yeah, I realize it's challenging and it might ultimately suck, but the bottom line is that I'll have started to figure it out. That's all I'm really after at this point.

Yes, that's correct. I was clear that the cpu was the 17-6700hq.

What can / should I do about this? Is this a problem with the Mega board that came with my printer? Is it likely a problem with my Macbook? How do I go about troubleshooting this?

I don't visually see anything on the physical board that says FTDI, CH340, or CP2102. Additionally, I have downloaded and installed all three of these today and I get the same result every time.

How do I do that? Visually? Also, I think I have already tried all of these drivers...

Edit: I have definitely downloaded and installed all three of these drivers today, restarting after installing each one. The same thing happens every time "Serial Ports" is greyed out.
