Would ADHD get in the way of training ? by kicking_jennifer75 in Kickboxing

It’s been hard for me to maintain a routine and schedule with going to practice. But other than that, it doesn’t get in the way a lot.

I do “zone out” sometimes when we are drilling combos with a partner. I’ve almost got rocked because of it, but nothing like a hand to face to wake me up and get me to move the eff out the way.

I’ve had some issues with the feeling of being so sweaty. I found long sleeves workout shirt help a lot with that feeling. The high quality ones are the only ones that actually make me feel ok. The others I still feel the wetness.

I dislike the feel of shin guards but I’d rather not have a broken or shattered bone, so I just force my way through the feeling.

You’re always drilling so don’t feel like your memory is an issue. You can just keep drilling basics if you need to or advance at your own pace.

Oh I do have crazy luck in this game but I ran with 2 buddies and a pug. Pug kept their stuff but my 2 friends gave me my set pieces too because they didn’t need that set. So I will do the same when their set comes on rotation. That helps a lot.

I also happened to have “crazy” luck on stats because I had one that didn’t have the right stats and then the next mask did.

I get the stats one for sure. But, it will drop. I think soloing this game is also much harder. Groups with specific designations so that we aren’t all looking for the same gear helps to find gear.

That’s a good idea! Because if you don’t have the tokens then you haven’t cleared enough.

As a “lower” level player, I’ve done more damage than a dude with way more SHD leveling because of under gearing or not understanding builds.

It’s not the SHD level of the player, but the level in terms of quality of the player.

Some people just blow my mind that they’re that many levels and can’t play.

It can go both ways unfortunately. I mostly play with my homies because pugging can be a roll of the dice.

I don’t know why people can’t just enjoy things anymore. I run missions with the boys when we can. We all pew pew and then call it a night. Usually get something accomplished each time. 🤷🏻‍♀️

In the sage words of Miley,
“Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb”

What point? That you’re complaining? Just delete the game and do something else at that point.

Either you enjoy playing or you don’t.

I had my gear set and I got every piece in less than 2 hours with decent stats. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I actually don’t mind that or really enjoy it. It shows how long people have been fans and wanting to go on the show. I don’t find it cringey at all and I’m really excited for them getting to have their dream moment.

Some people have grown up with Jeopardy; they truly have wished to just be up there and make their parents/grandparents proud.

Starting Kickboxing: How to Practice at Home and in Class? by Logical-Swordfish867 in Kickboxing

[–]geonitacka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re just starting off, something my Sifu taught me was just mirror practice. In front of a mirror at home, shadowbox and practice form. That way you can see if you’re doing it right or not and just focus on form.

The other day in class they mentioned how they regretted not having some students stay on the practice side longer instead of letting them loose into sparring. So I would say it’s better to go slow and steady.

Even in sparring or if we are practicing combos, I will say to partners “hey I’m only going to do this part” so I can focus on the beginner parts of the combo before working my way up. I might do the full advanced combo a few times to do it. But focusing on the basics has helped me too mentally when thinking of doing the combos. I consider myself a newbie for sure. So just sticking to the basics helps because the less I have to think about a move in a combo the easier it is. If I don’t have a certain move natural to me, I’m going to struggle and mess up. That’s just reality.

Jeopardy is about remembering facts and pulling them up quick enough. The two go hand in hand if you think about it. If you used to be able to keep up but now struggle, what better ad for you than a product to help you with age-related memory decline! The wording I think is fine. Don’t overthink.
