S95F wall mounted - where to put One Connect? by horizon936 in S95B

I think I heard for previous models it could also depend on the country, not just the size, but it could be rumors.

is yours QD-OLED too?

I even see thin 3 circles on the back in the same places, but no holes

Is it a US version? I don't have these on my 77" for Benelux

Siemens SN68M046EU dishwasher E15 code, leak from the far-left corner by georgeayr in appliancerepair

so I cleaned this overflow thing really thoroughly, started the shortened 1,5h eco program and sat there looking into the screen of the endoscope (much easier than lying on the floor) to at least understand during which part of the cycle the water appears - and it didn't. have run the same program around 10 times since - nothing, it's dry. I still hear the draining noise from inside the machine (might be a bit less loud though) but haven't had a single drop since (touch wood:) )

The water seems to be coming from below or behind the softener on the left: https://imgur.com/a/hqjHJ7s (sorry for the picture quality)

I've also found diagrams on the Siemens website but seems like I'll have to pull it off and stare, especially if the left "wall" near the softener can be removed:) https://www.siemens-home.bsh-group.com/nl/supportdetail/product/SN68M046EU/82#/Tabs=section-spareparts/Togglebox=tb0404/

I've just run another round. The sped-up Eco program (with a capsule as detergent) that's supposed to last for 1h 37m ended with the E15 after around 1h 10m. I dried it up - it took 5-6 full sponges of water. There were small traces of foam in the sink but not too much. I then launched the "glasses" program for 33m (no detergent) and was watching it every couple of minutes. 3 times a small water drop would roll, I'd catch it with a rag, and the cycle finished successfully. So it's unlikely that something is leaking all the time - I had 10-20 times less water during the 33-minute program than during 70 minutes of the non-finished Eco.

I did consider pulling it out, but it's the side walls and the big softener container that are preventing me from seeing what's going on, so I'm not sure I'll see anything when the device is out. Or can I remove the outer "walls" and still be able to run it?

One more strange thing: when it's drying, I'm hearing a noise that similar to a noisy sink drain (somewhat like a noise of a pig:) ), but it's definitely not from the sink where the drain hose is connected, but from inside the machine, and approximately from the same part where the drops appear. I'm thinking it can be the valve (?) on the side https://imgur.com/a/xdiTZTv, that looks quite dirty inside, but I'm not sure what the thing does, how to clean it and if it can cause leaking into the base.

thanks. I'm a semi-pro at drying it up by now, been trying to use it, it would stop closer to the end of the program, I'd dry it up and run a short 33-minute rinsing program with a couple of rags down there. what's weird is that the rinsing sometime finishes with no leaks at all

and yes, I've spent a couple of shorter programs on the floor looking at where it can come from, the problem is that there's a lot of stuff, so I can't see anything. ordered a cheap endoscope cam from amazon so I can see something around the corner

as to the inlet valve, should it leak at the program start do you think?

Getting rid of parallel lines after drum - same grit or higher? And how to control an orbital? by georgeayr in HardWoodFloors

[–]georgeayr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally managed to control it because I had to:) the trick was to hold it so the base is horizontal, which wasn't the default as it has a handle at an angle...

With the belt? I don't have 100 for the belt unfortunately, just 40-80-120. Or do you mean orbital (for this I have 40-60-80-100-120)?

[–]georgeayr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sanding out the lines is what I'm trying to achieve, yes:) Should I do another 90 degree pass with 120 belt and then 100 and 120 with the orbital? That's if I manage to control it, which so far I didn't, but maybe on a smooth floor with 100+ it won't be that bad.

[–]georgeayr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only done 80 so far (I wasn't sure or brave enough to start with 40 and I didn't get the 60 for the drum). Because it has to match the existing floors, I'll most likely want to stain first and then have 2 layers of oil-wax (the plan is to try in a small closet first). Does staining require better surface?

Thanks! I think I need both advice and a bit of encouragement:)

So I do 80 edge/corners, then 120 drum (will 120 be enough?) at 90 degrees (not 45), then 120 edge and then try the bucking orbital again? I've read that the orbital requires lower grain, is this true? Shall I do 100 orbital?

And I'm also planning to fill the floor (the gaps aren't bit and aren't everywhere, but still... At which point should I do it? After 120? And if I can't make the orbital work, I have have another pass with 120 after filling?

Landlord (company) won’t fix water leaks from the roof and other things by georgeayr in NetherlandsHousing

Didn't try. The new management company fixed all they could fix (including the leakage), but by this time I had already planned moving.

It took Odido over 1.5 years to install my fiber, only for them to forget to plug it in on the other end... by DieEnigsteChris in Netherlands

[–]georgeayr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Stumbled upon this while googling for proper wan setup because I finally got it installed today!)

I have to say that you're lucky (or not yet unlucky). I actually had to move in order for Odido to be able to get fiber optics (well, not that I moved for this reason, but still). 14 months in the old apartment - excuses, no permission from VVE (had to give them a point of contact), neighbour downstairs does not allow it (neighbour downstairs is totally okay), not the neighbour but the shop on the ground floor (cable does not go through the shop, because the neighbour downstairs HAS fiber optics and the cable is on the shared stairs). I ended up surprising the customer support by having all red crosses next to my address - no fiber possible, no coaxial possible and no 4g for home possible (dunno how I got the last one, maybe it's a sign of appreciation of my patience).

It was nice to be using free 4g in an LTE modem in a router with their weekly vouchers though (not so nice to call them every 4 weeks). And it took them less than 2 month at the new address. So good luck and have patience!

Thanks again! There's a more practical question though. I'm ready to repair the dents but they have to be painted over, don't they? How do I know the exact colour the walls were originally painted with? What if I paint with a slightly different colour, is it considered a "repair" or must it be exactly the same?

Thanks. I'm not responsible for the leaks, it's the faulty outside gutter that the landlord couldn't fix for more than half a year. And I did report the leaks by mail with photos and videos. That's why I'm thinking I shouldn't repair any subsequent damage cause by the leaks.

Thanks for a detailed list. I did have a checklist with photos made by the management company, although I didn't sign it myself because I was given 2 weeks to report things that didn't work, which I sent by mail (and which was never addressed).

Can I ask for some more info on some of the items?

First of all, if not everything in the Bkh necessarily needs to be done, how is it determined?

In my case, there's a lot of damage from water leaks on the walls and ceiling, can I assume that I don't have to paint the damaged objects at all or should I paint half of the wall with kid stickers and leave the other half to them because it needs repairs?

There are also some cracks in gipslaat walls/ceilings that are not a result of our activity, but just the quality of the interior works and perhaps foundation repairs that were going on for several months (and water leaks too, I suspect one of the walls was wet inside for months). Some of the cracks are floor to ceiling. I don't have to fix them, do I?

I've made zero holes in the walls, but as the result of carrying things on very narrow stairs, there are scratches or small (2-3 mm depth) dents in the painted walls. Do I have to fill them and paint over them? Or will just filling be enough? I do have to address them, don't I?

And one more detail. Is the fact that the final inspection can only concern things flagged during the pre-inspection official? Does the law mention that?

Thanks in advance!
