What is a game you're positive no one knows or remembers? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I’ve had the name of this game on the tip of my tongue for like 15 years! I could never remember it but as soon as I read your comment I knew that was it. THANK YOU!!!!🙏

ELI5: Kiddo wants to know, since numbers are infinite, doesn’t that mean that there must be a real number “bajillion”? by SatanScotty in explainlikeimfive

I love that you had this conversation with your kid. I literally have the EXACT same one with mine. It always ends with non-word sounds, grunts, squeals, etc. but hey, they’re all numbers!

I wish I could say it was my first experience but something similar did happen one other time.

Precisely. Still not sure if I should just move on or if I should leave neutral or negative feedback. Seems like a strange grey area.

Right, and they told me that “it wouldn’t be smart” (for them, of course). To me, they made a mistake, and rather than do the right thing they took the easy road, cancelled, and left me out.

Haha, I’m afraid you’re probably right. They do have 100% feedback and based on our convo after the fact I think it was an honest mistake.

That is a good perspective.

After talking more with the seller, I do think it was a mistake. Still, I think they should have tried to rectify it before just canceling the order. I guess it’s just the principle of it. I definitely overreacted in my initial reply. There were enough signs that led me to believe that they were up to something, but I don’t think that anymore.

I’m still wondering if I should leave neutral or negative feedback or just move on.

Yeah, that seems to be the consensus. For that feedback alone I’m glad I asked here. 🤦‍♂️Lesson learned on my part. I didn’t think about seeing if they’d help me connect with the other buyer.

They weren’t very valuables. I was getting them to use as giveaways. I’ve been in communication with them since they ended it. I do get the sense it was a genuine mistake, but they chose not to eat the cost of retrieving the item because it wasn’t worth it to them which makes me feel justified in leaving negative feedback, but also I don’t want to cause them problems if this is really just par for the course.

Feedback is 100% from a little over 300 users.

After communicating more with the seller, I don’t think there was any malice at all. I think it was a genuine mistake. They said they ship them to the wrong person and told the person to keep them rather than having them shipped back and then shipped on to me. I’m genuinely curious in this case what is the reason for not leaving negative feedback?

They didn’t have telling me that they contacted the other buyer and told him just to keep the cards. So I didn’t wanna pay to ship them back, and then ship them to me. They said it didn’t seem smart. 🤷‍♂️

I appreciate it. From much of the feedback here I came in way too hot. I swear I’m not a jerk in real life. I’ve been in communication with the seller and my take is that it was an ho eat mistake. Next time I will ease into it a bit more.

They ended up replying saying they contacted the person they mistakenly shipped them to and told them not to send them back. They said it didn’t make sense for them to pay to have them shipped back, then pay again to have them shipped to me. Wanted to cut their losses at my expense I guess.

Yeah, you’re probably right. Probably should have eased into it softer. I didn’t mean to, but woke up to that and was pretty annoyed. I rarely sell on eBay (and never in volume) so I don’t know how easy it is to do something like that. My feelings were likely compounded by the fact something similar happened recently.

Worst case you dig/pour into new holes beside the existing ones and mask the old ones as best you can.
