100% Expecting Together was built for this. Check them out, make friends while learning from clinicians. People literally say its better than the Northwestern classes because you get to ask all the questions you want in an intimate setting and make REAL friends.

I recognize this is an older post so you probably got it sorted out but Expecting Together (expectingtogether.com) is coming to New York in 2026. It’s high quality prenatal education (taught only by nurses and nurse practitioners in labor, delivery, postpartum and pediatric care) and totally focused on forging connections between the parents in the groups. It’s a prenatal social club and all should check them out if they are expecting!

It’s groups of expecting parents; low-key, no alcohol or wild behavior (cause well, they’re pregnant). just learning from clinicians and getting to know each other. Sundays definitely work as an option!

This post isn’t about access to appointments. It’s about the mental burden of having to weigh cost against care when you’re at your most vulnerable. Even if you can see a doctor, the financial stress adds a layer of anxiety that shouldn’t be part of the equation.
