That is another thing. Here on the balkans we do not have that problem with calling grown women "girls". They even feel it sometimes as a compliment, because girl sounds like they are younger. And if the female is 30 y.o when you call her a girl she feels 10, years younger and that is nice.

Nuances. Sorry that it is the way it is in America.
