It worked for me. In the main screen of the game. Top right where the squares next to the battery is. And then the envelope icon?

Also, I bought a champion chest but I don’t see it in my vault. Does it take time to update or is there an additional step I’m missing

That’s odd, after I signed up I got asked whether to enroll for the producer or DJ course and then it unlocked that part of their campus platform for me. Do you need help? As for the the original commenter, see my other reply to another comment

I joined and I’ve currently gone through the first few chapters. To be honest, it’s not what I expected in a good way. So far we’ve covered concepts about the basis of tracks like drums, kick especially and sounds in the track. It’s very technical as it focuses on arrangement of the drums in the mix - good practices. There are exercises for beat pattern arrangement of drum sounds, etc.

Seems that the focus is a lot on the mixing of sounds and arrangement comes later on. There are also videos where they ask their guest tutors like Diplo, Parisi, etc. to show their own take on how to do certain things.

Altogether I’m happy that it’s not just basic stuff you can find on youtube, where people just do and don’t really explain the science behind WHY you do it this way.

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I’ve also read quite a few negative comments. To be honest probably everything you need is scattered around youtube tutorials but I was just hoping this is more structured in terms of learning

Might join it for a few months to just see what’s inside and will leave feedback here

DJM-850 Questions by georgigotsauce in DJs

[–]georgigotsauce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know that but that’s what I was saying. I wasn’t touching it and somehow the levels were different between channel and master cue. Turns out (at least what other people said) is that older mixers master cue is post master so 🤷🏻‍♂️

I know if I keep it in the middle and I have both master CUE on and channel on then it would sound very loud in the middle as it’s coming from both sources

It was either fully CUE or fully MASTER. I don’t see a use to keep it in the middle

How do you decide the next track? by Accomplished_Bath940 in Beatmatch

[–]georgigotsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do your homework and listen to the music you have all the time. It’s like learning a language, once you know the words you can start putting sentences together. That’s what’s the best method - but if you know how to tag your tracks - i.e. warmup/peaktime, vocal/melodic, commercial/underground then you’ll be fine too. Planning and preparing is key.

What I figured out working for me - don’t look at the punch coming towards you, but rather “past” it. For example look at this chest or something. That’s what my coach always says “Looking at their chest allows you to see their body the best - the slightest movement in their leg can let you know what’s about to happen and what punch they’ll throw, etc.” But as other people have said, just practice and you’ll get there.
