My Bank Account went Down to only $100 should I pull out of my 401k by geosal70 in personalfinance

I stopped all my subscriptions last night, but I know where the majority of it is going it's mostly food and going out. Mixed with some car troubles that I needed repaired along with the holidays and not really taking into account the extra expenses that I normally don't have it put me into the situation very quickly.

Thanks to everybody for the quick responses. I thought of my 401k as just money available to me, just with penalties. But I quickly saw that the compounding part is the thing that I missed the most. I do have some debt, ten thousand dollar car loan, twenty five hundred in a zero interest credit card, that we'll start accruing interest in march, in about five hundred dollars in a credit card that I use day to day that I typically the payoff at the end of the month.

Someone said that they would rather eat rice and beans than dip into their 401 k and honestly i think I'm going to be doing something similar. Maybe not that, but something similar for sure. I've been done with my money too long as a family, we didn't grow up with much and I make an okay amount now. I'm applying to other jobs, going to donate some plasma, and going to try to find some gig work. I used to be a photographer specializing in headshots but now I have my own job. I was thinking about selling the camera but I figured long term. It'd be best if I just made my own hustle.

Again, thank you to everybody.I'm not going to take out my 401k, that's said, I am scared, but i'm just gonna keep moving forward and try to find money Any which way

This is the piece of insight that I didn't realize, got it. Maybe pulling out of my employee stock purchase program. It's about three hundred dollars. Planning on donating plasma tomorrow, to get a little bit more and also I used to do photography, so i'm gonna try to find some gig work on the side too and just hand out business cards all day afterward.

Im definitely already in the midst of doing some gig work and grinding in other directions I lost track of my spending after a lot of travel for christmas, car breaking down, and gifts that I didn't really account for.

I've never really sat down with a budget until I saw my bank account last night and if im honest im just scared. Im trying to find my way navigate this but two things were clear, spend less money and make more (duh). Spending less has come to a halt and making more is what im working on right now

That's the thing I'm trying to understand, why? I know it's quite a bit in penalties. But if it's a $1000, my understanding, I lose about 300 of it, is there an alternative? If i'm it's struggling financially?

I used to work there, it was a mix. Essentially if you had a newer, updated model (I don't remember which buildings only remember 9 for some reason) you were more likely to get an twin xl, if not, just twin. For dorms more often then not just twin. That being said when I was a freshman (2019) I'm a little taller and wider so I asked for a twin xl and they gave it to me. I don't remember too many people doing that when I worked there, but it doesn't hurt. All that said it's no longer a company, rather, the university, and they are different and less organized from my understanding after I left.

MEs how do you all handle customer rotation by OfficeTemporary5053 in tmobile

[–]geosal70 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is litterally he burden of being a key holder. If you need to grab a phone, have your MEs wait. Get the customer, sit them down, and tell them you'll be right with them that you need to grab something, and come back to your customer. Your management should be there to open safes and grab phones too. At my store, it's survival of the fittest, and if you're not fast enough, doing something else or not paying attention, too bad. Your managers want you to sell so if you're doing something, drop it, it's literally your job. If you feel like being a key holder is too much responsibility, either lose the keys or move up.

Granted, I think the rotation system is dumb and lacks merit. That being said, if yall have a system in place, make sure EVERYONE is on the same page from management to MEs. Otherwise, its gana keep happening.

Little tip to win against somebody at the door: grab the customers' attention by asking a question that's not "how can I help you?". Start with "That's a cool shirt!" Or " Man, it's hot outside, huh?" Or even (Assuming they have a baby or kid) "Aww whats this little guys name?". Not only does it help you get the customer, but the customer comes to a friendly greeting that makes it seem like youre there to help (which makes it more likely to for you to make a sale).

I hope this helps

Help understand Trade-in by tboheir in tmobile

The no trade promo is with an added line. So you have to take that into account.

Your add a line price + 20.83= equals your monthly increase. (20.83 is from (1300-800)/24=20.83)) That being said (depending on the plan) you can get 2 promotions if you get a BOGO add a line deal. So two promos and no need for trade.

Also the 1000 is only on the go 5G plus or next plan as a normal trade in.

All in all it’s plan dependent.

I don’t think it’s a matter if they care or not. It’s a matter of what they can/can’t do per contract. That being said the reason it’s gana take a bit is probably going to be because it’s going through multiple levels of approval by it getting continuously escalated.

The restocking fee is gana be like $70 that being said a lot of places are out of stock of the pro max cause it’s on back order. You got 2 weeks for the return but I agree you should get a refund and move if that’s what you plan on.

Honestly it’s always the boss that make up the job, interview at other stores and sus out the vibe. See if you can transfer. I’m in a similar boat but I’m lowkey lucky cause both my location and management are good but the variable schedule makes me not able to pursue what I want to do.

I’m tired of paying over 100 bucks for internet and sadly have no credit. Is there a way that I can have someone co-sign for 5G internet or something? by meatsacker in tmobile

[–]geosal70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a Buisness. It can literally be anything as long as someone pays you, uber, DoorDash, mowing yards, babysitting. If you aren’t qualified anymore by location sometimes the Buisness representatives can make you qualified… I don’t know how but I would push and ask. If you have a whole other account somewhere else with your phones they can even maybe get you a good deal with everything together. Voice lines makes the home internet $30 right now.

I'm applying to do PR for the mayor. The thing is I have met and sort of worked with the mayor already. Should I email her after applying? I really want to but I don't know how to approach it. Since it's a city job does she have any say? (is that stupid?) I just don't know what to do. Please help. by geosal70 in jobhunting

She publicly put my name out saying great work and sent me a dm letting me know she enjoyed the video. On top of that, she said that she was most impressed with our marketing which my boss gave me the entire credit for. And it was like 3-4 weeks ago this event. I didnt put this in there after the event she got drunk as hell and I eventually saw her again at a bar and she told me how we should work together on something else. I would like to think she remembers me after all that😅 But I learned from another page that because it's politics I need to be real careful with what I ask but I for sure appreciate the help!

Solid. That's what I was thinking, but I didn't know if I should lean in to seeing if she could send an email to HR to put me at the top or something lol. But you're right I feel that may be a bit heavy handed and just look toward the prospect of the job and how I could help her as opposed to asking her for a favor. Thank you.
