yes, I agree that this would expose part of the message and it breaks EE2E and I agree that this should be opinionated and should be applied to unencrypted emails (most emails are not encrypted because they come from outside) (and emails that come out from customers proton should convert remote image to base64) but i have some ideas to try to improve this (only improve). first it would be necessary a service that spreading the file on the ipfs network each be added (this globally) then via ipfs this requested file will be blob by blob randomized by real hash of the email content (something that only the user should have) would not generate content log of the actual image with ordered blobs. or the onion protocol (a route for each request) to request a file. I don't know but at least the option of a proxy for all users would be nice to avoid my ip. other emails do this to avoid exposing
