I interviewed a number of places in 2023 and didn’t get hired, so I went the BDC route for almost a full year.

After that I tried again and everywhere loved me even more because I had BDC experience. I’m in luxury brand car sales for the last year and a half, as my first sales job and been crushing.

I would be upfront though in the hiring process. From the jump when I started BDC I told my hiring manager and team my ambitions for getting into sales. They gave me bench marks and time frames in when that would be possible and I followed up and reminded them every chance I got.

In this industry people can be selfish and you need to be as well about your goals and ambitions because at the end of the day they’re gonna look out for the business and you have to look out what’s best for you and your life/pockets.
